Coach Tipps and the main core is experienced in post season play. They played a tough regular season schedule and did very well. Has a Single A team besides Eagleville gotten within single digits to Loretto?

Loretto by 18

WOW! West Carroll takes out McKenzie! I thought it was McKenzie's year.
Loretto up 43-8 at half.
-
Interesting numbers then.
TSSAA Boys Basketball State Championships 2010 - present (Ten Years - 50 Champions):
West TN: 6 - 12%
Memphis TN: 18 - 36%
Middle TN: 19 - 38%
West TN: 7 - 14%
-
Question... Would Haywood HS be considered Memphis Area basketball? or just West TN?

Region pairings:
9A vs 10A
#1 East Roberson vs Richland/Santa Fe Loser
#2 Houston County vs Richland/Santa Fe Winner
#3 McEwen vs MtP/Culleoka Loser
#4 Jo Byrns vs MtP/Culleoka Winner

WOW! JUST WOW! Cully beats Santa Fe to advance to the Championship against MtP.

A- McKenzie/depends on where A region is held this year! If in Memphis I am going BTW or MAHS! If in West Tn I am going with Madison.

Region 6 was held at Bethel last year. This year Region 6 should be held by District 12 (Loretto, Summertown, Perry County, Wayne County, Collinwood, or Frank Hughes)
McKenzie and Loretto are definitely the favorites out of this Region and should have no issues with Region 5 in the Sectionals.

Single A:
BTW, Madison Academic Magnet, McKenzie, Loretto, Fayetteville, Lead Academy, and two from the East.

I would think that 4 and 5 have a play in game. Then 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 in semis. Just my thoughts. Not absolutely sure.

i would assume the same. 4/5
then 1/4 and 2/3. Really only way to do it with 5 teams and you have to have 4 teams advancing
Thanks
With that being said... The #1 seed coin flip is huge for post season play! #1 seed will definitely get an easier path to the Championship game. You definitely don't want to take on Richland in the semifinals with the loser traveling for the 1st round of the region.

With Santa Fe and Mt Pleasant tied and split during the season to that mean a coin flip for the #1 seed? Also hows the five team bracket made up? #1 gets the only bye? #2 plays #4 and #3 plays #5 first round?

There are a lot of good players in DII-A. Here is just one that could easily be a finalist.

Santa Fe has had a rough time this year. Three of their better players transferred to other schools. One went to CA, one went to Central, and one went to Summertown. Better opportunity for recognition. This makes it all the more difficult for smaller schools to compete.
and one went to Hampshire... which was the leading scorer for Hampshire's overtime win over Santa Fe the other night.

Culleoka pulls off upset of Richland tonight in overtime. Culleoka switched to a zone. Richland became stagnant on offense and shots quit falling with the lack of movement and momentum. Culleoka kept the Raiders off the offensive glass and made key shots and free throws late. This is not the first time I have seen a Richland team become stagnant and lose energy against a zone. Too methodical and no movement to keep shooters in a flow.
WOW! Thanks for the report.

As of Tuesday night he was not.

I believe that is all up to the individual districts. Most do head to head record first... then either coin flip or records against highest seed.

I just hope one of the top 3 teams can actually make some noise in the Region Tournament this year. It's been since the 12/13 season that one of these schools has made it past the semifinals. The Region Tournament should be hosted by District 10 which should help.
District 10A records in Region Tournaments since 2012/2013:
Mt. Pleasant 4-6
Richland 3-6
Santa Fe 0-2
Culleoka 0-1
Hampshire 0-1
*All but one loss was to the opposing District.
+ Hope I added these up correctly... if not it's a mistaken and not an attempt to spread fake news.
