I think we can all agree that the risk of covid 19 to high school athletes is minimal. However i don't think the precautions being taken are for them. Its the spread from them to elderly or the at risk. So arguing for football because these kids are gonna be safe is futile. Need to figure a way to play football without the risk of transmission to at risk.

If you shut football down. Then he needs to shut down travel baseball. No way that allowing 1000 people into a 7 year old coach pitch game. Is less dangerous then football practice.

No not a big turnaround. If hickman had played lc last year they would have lost. Big difference in hickman and maplewood, marshall or dickson or columbia. No disrespect intended toward hickman. Just big difference in level of play.

Not arguing with them going to 4 quarters. But if they were 20 points better then why go to that at all. Blackmon did jump onto Lc in first quarter. But after Lc adjusted to speed they made a game of it in fact got as close as 4 points just couldn't get past the overall team talent as they was running player after player in. I don't think I would sell Lc short they are better then most know or think.

If I'm not mistaken. They were picked 5th last yr. it just seems to me they get it done. They are proof you don't have to be flashy or follow the current trends in offense to be successful. All u need is good kids solid coaching and desire. As a coach and a fan of high school football you have to respect that.

They are private school like Zion. They played 8 man football last yr. there head coach is former Tennessee Titan. Rusty smith.

All part of the 1st program growing pains. As a coach u are always trying to get better. U pay no attention to score and continue to work on plays or personal that may make u better next week. Keep ur heads up keep working and maybe some time soon u have the same opportunity.

Lawrence played there butts off. Give credit where it's due. To go threw two tough weeks like they did and still come out to the brickyard and put all that behind them speaks volumes for the kids and staff. Don't remember seeing any personal foul penaltys against them. Saw several against Giles in critical moments.

Agreed. Have nothing but respect for kids and any school trying to establish a new program. But fans need to learn some humility it don't come easy it's a long process that requires bumps and bruises take the wins with class and give credit where credit is due when u lose.

They are not private... d2 is private. Aka ensworth is private. CPA is also in the private classification(same as Zion only larger) only because they charge tuition. But they are in a district. Grace a future opponent of Summertown is in a district with yall and I believe is also private. They can only offer small financial assitance according to the financial records of applying students. So they can't recruit. And up until this yr. they have been in a district. They asked tssaa for a two yr break to try and rebuild there program. And calm down reporter. Loretto is Terrible. Don't get to excited yet. High school football is a long ten game schedule. Agreed there is some talent. But how deep are they. Loretto can't throw the ball period. Zion can and will. Let's see how that secondary holds up and let's see if they can get some pressure on zions qb. They will be able to score on them but can they stop them is question.
