  1. Thanks Bobcat. i know Coach Rosser from his days at OR, he was my sons 4th grade teacher at Glenwood Elementary. My son absolutely loved him, he really helped him after a rough 3rd grade year. He still thinks the world of Coach Rosser, even though he graduated this year. He was always there whenever he needed him. He was also a very good coach under Scott Blade while here. I have always wished that we had a true leader like him here at OR since Blade left. I agree with you about the assistants here at OR, they could do a lot better. Congrats on a great season this year, and I look forward to next year.
  2. I stand by my comments. I certainly would not categorize any one on here as miserable. Because I do not know any of you. The facts remain the same, we had unbelievable talent for the past 5 or 6 years and it has been wasted by putting players in the wrong positions and not developing players to reach their full potential. Coaches have a huge responsibility, especially with high school kids, to develop and encourage them to not only teach them how to be good players but also to be respectful in life. Coach Gaddis has not been able to get this done since his return to OR. His teams win because of their own talent. The only reason he has 1 championship is because the kids in 91 were just not going to take anything less. Whenever someone has a negative comment about Gaddis on the OR thread, some of y’all start calling them names. And that is also sad. Again, it should always be about championships here at OR, district, region and state. Anything less should be unacceptable. Bryson Rosser gets it at Central and now, in only 6 years, he has 2 state championships and one state runner up. Now that is what OR should want, not just be “competitive”.
  3. Again. Just excuses!! It is sad that OR has been reduced to mediocrity. State championships were always our goal, now just competing is satisfactory here. The reason that only 16 out of the 36 freshmen are now playing is because they do not want to play for Gaddis. Keep on making excuses.
  4. Guys, we have an inferior head coach!! Until OR realizes that, then all OR fans will have to do is make excuses. Rosser will have played in 3 state championship games in 6 years, winning two of them. He will double Joe’s state titles in just six years. Joe has to go if we ever hope to play for state titles again.
  5. The play calling has been atrocious for awhile.
  6. I have been saying for the past few years that the only reason Oak Ridge wins with Gaddis as the coach is because the players are good and some good assistant coaches. He came here to win another state title purely on the talent that OR had coming up. He and the current coaches blew it with bad coaching and putting players in the wrong positions. I hate to see it!!!
  7. Joe blew it!! He had his chances for another state title the last 4 or 5 years. It did not happen. The decisions to play players in the wrong positions, lack of discipline, poor coaching etc. Oak Ridge football is not what it used to be!!
  8. Joe always gets "close"!! All these years, 1 state championship? Try to explain that? Compare him and his 1 title to the other coaches with multiple titles. OR has been talent rich for the last 4 years. And yet here we are making up excuses for him again!! 1 title? Why?
  9. If you won't, then I will. We have the talent, not the coaching!!
  10. AC at Greeneville and Catholic at OR are definitely the must watch games in East Tennessee.
  11. I saw him running routes just playing around, and his speed and footwork were very impressive. I can certainly see him running in short yardage situations.
