Man O Man!!! I have seen so much for this game… I’m a TRUE BLUE TIGER fan to the bone!!! BUT… I am a realist as well!!! Quite contraire to what anyone has said, there is NO blueprint for beating an ELITE team as PC is this year!!! Although, anyone can be beaten on any given day!!! We would have to play a PERFECT game, have EVERYTHING go our way!!! So, what are the odds????? I’m not tossing in the towel, but I will say, best of luck to PC and Coach B. moving forward!!! Let’s bring this GOLD BALL to the WEST SIDE of the state!!!!! Oh, and I hope they have them darn fish sammiches!!!!!!!! O…M…G!!!!!

Just made it home from the game! Not too bad of a drive. I just want to say hats off to the HC Tigers! I’m not sure if I have ever seen such a classy team in defeat!!! I sure agree with @stacmot, I sure hope those young men go far in life, because they sure deserve it. Now, I sure hate to ask anything from the Hardin faithfuls, but we sure could use some well wishes going in to face Pearl Cohn again!!! LOL!!!

TIGERS Vs TIGERS A tough undefeated Hardin County team hosting a two loss Marshall County team. Hardin County ended the Marshall’s season two years ago in this same scenario!!! Hardin has had a few close calls this year (it seems from what I have read) and won games late in the 4th qtr. can they do that against Marshall? Marshall has really only been tested twice this year, losing both of those games to 5A (now 10-1) Shelbyville 35-28 and an undefeated Pearl Cohn team that is arguably the BEST team in the state (in all classifications), 42-17! Hardin has a phenomenal QB from what I hear and a boatload of talent all around him at receiver, RB and line. Does Marshall stand a chance??? Thoughts/opinions???

ROUND 1!!! Region 5 #2 hosting region 6 #3. Marshall should be the favorite by the numbers , wins, rankings and all that jazz. I know nothing about JNSHS. Can some of you West TN gurus help me out??? Opinions???

@BDP2003 Did you see the Marshall Co./White House game? If so, how does/did Marshall match up with Pearl?

Marshall traveling to Pearl to play on that BEAUTIFUL new field (I can’t wait to see it in person)!!! Does Marshall even have a chance against that ELITE team??? Everything about Pearl is ELITE! Speed✅ Offense✅ Defense✅ Pearl is BIG, strong and FAST!!! Two BIG wins against DII schools!!! Can Marshall match up with Pearl any better than either of those two??? Nobody else has come close! I am SURE some of you have some pretty good insights on this game. What are any of your thoughts? Oh, and I’ll be dang sure to get me a FISH SAMMICH!!!!! Even though we have never beat Pearl, I sure do look forward to that fish sandwich, their hospitality (I personally have never had a bad experience up there) and their Band/dance team!!!

Region 5 has Pearl and Marshall locked as 1 and two and they play October 27 to see which finishes 1 and 2. White House, Station Camp and Creekwood are fighting for 3 and 4 in the region.

What are some of the scenarios that are locks already?

Getting this thread started EARLY!!! Is this a rivalry of old renewed or the beginning of a new rivalry??? White House comes in undefeated and at home hosting a solid Marshall County team that is finding itself after two big region wins after a tough loss to a good 5A Shelbyville team! Who do you have and why?

Who you got and why? Greenbrier lost a lot from last season but they are a tough squad and playing at home!!!

The Bobcats’ two losses are to two major football programs in Page (two time defending state runner up in 5A) and Hardin County (two time defending semifinal/quarterfinal [respectively] in 4A). GC is/will always play tough and lost both of those games by one score (one in overtime) and is already battle tested in this early season. I have GC by 21!!!

I have to respectfully disagree Tub… we have a GREAT kicker, actually was ranked top five in the state of all classes. We just have to block for him!!! Also, the FIRST holder has been injured and not playing. The SECOND holder has been injured as well, so the THIRD holder (our starting QB) has only been practicing holding since the week of the first game. I know these are all only excuses and the “politically correct “ thing to say/do is NEXT MAN UP, but it just don’t work like that in high school, not at our level anyway. It takes a lot of practice to get the art of holding a PK!

Marshall had a couple of major pieces out against Columbia that will still be out tonight. I still think Marshall gets the win and it could be BIG if Shelbyville don’t make adjustments.

This should be a pretty good matchup!!! Is Columbia back with a revamped coaching staff? Are their bruiser RB’s too much for Marshall??? Will Marshall’s speed be too much for the Lions? Ball security will tell all! One or two turnovers and this could get ugly either way, like it did in ‘15??? …with Marshall winning something like 61-35 (not sure if this score is correct).

Good gameplan by Lexington! I agree with a few others, MC couldn’t stop the run. VERY unorthodox style of play, but whatever works, WORKS… right!!! Good luck to Lexington the rest of the way out, but I’ll be pulling for our region brother Pearl next week.

The only thing bad about that kind of offense (or gameplan) is if you get behind do you have the fire power to “giddy up and go”??? MC has proven to do both, and pretty good at both. I think this will be e very interesting and good game that could go either way but the edge HAS to go to Lexington playing at home!!! Although I think Lexington will have the edge with home field, I think MC will pull out the victory.

Creekwood is a very good team that has three tough losses to three very good teams!!! They played us (Marshall) very tough (we did have some starters injured), but we won on a late FG. Very tough with with a pretty good mix of pass/rush.

Could region five’s #3 and #4 upset region six’s #1 and #2??? Creekwood (R5 #3) and Greenbrier (R5 #4) are very tough!!! Can they play with Lexington (R6 #1) and Hardin Co. (R6 #2)?
