  1. Cumberland 60/49 White 62/54
  2. Fun times uh? Still sticking with Cookeville 2 Battle for 3/4 White and Warren and one of them needs a win over Cookeville on respective home court. Stone and Rhea staying home come Regionals. Cumberland could run the schedule - I have a difficult time saying undefeated in district
  3. Well there you go. Just checked schedules for Tomorrow night = Cumberland/Warren = Cumberland - they won't score 90+ points this time. White/Rhea= White even though Rhea is 7-0 Cookeville/Stone = Cookeville by 10 I think I'll go see exactly what Stone has. Post half time scores if you think about it. Thanks.
  4. If Stone didn't win a District game last season and hopes are pinned on 3 Freshmen to help them finish 2nd in this District - I'd have to go with White/Cookeville/Warren every night of the week based on ability to handle defensive pressure by veteran players - each respective home court and crowd should be a bit overwhelming to true freshmen. I do not believe either of those 3 teams start freshmen. Unless Stone has found 3 very very special freshmen - no way they finish 2nd. Still think Cookeville ahead of White/Warren but those 3 will be the ones you have to knock off to get to Regional. Cumberland automatic bid.
  5. Wow! Stone wins again. White wins. Cookeville wins. Warren wins. Cumberland loses to Blackmon. Rhea? Maybe I should rethink that Stone Memorial 5/6 position. Everything heating up - it's early - all just searching for identities.
  6. Don't hurt yourself - I never said I was from White Co - I do own land there. Not a big fan of Cookeville as far as living there - never have - never will but decent restaurants. My draw to the area is no income tax - dale hollow lake - center hill lake and rock island. I fish here mostly in the winter. I just like girls basketball - since I raised a few - it's still a pure form of the sport - So sweet Jesus please forgive me for living part time in state dominated by the Lady Vols - and Following a region that offers up the lady eagles, lady jets - the androgynous panthers - lady Pioneers and the lady cavs, lady tigers....and yes I got it - the Warriorettes.
  7. Any updates on the - I stand corrected - Warriorettes?
  8. Jimbo - while I do like The Lady Warriors overall - believe Clarkrange will have edge. Clarkrange by 8+
  9. That's what I've read - she's not playing. It's always a pretty good match up no matter who's there or not. I try to catch 1 or 2 games a week and was wondering because I just don't like blowouts. 2 years ago I watched some bigs (boys side teams) from each county go after each other for 50 minutes in a barn burner - fun times. Thanks.
  10. Fellas - any given night right? Do you really think any team looks forward to playing Upperman, last years Cannon County/The Lady Warriors? Nope. Years move on - seasons change - seniors graduate and a new round of basketball babies are raised. Just guessing that some of you probably have a young lady playing in either 8AA or 6AAA and have done great jobs at raising strong willed, athletic, type A meat eaters. When seasons end and your packing up to head to a sub state or state game - none of them are easy. Those teams are there for a reason - mostly because they've dominated and stayed focused. I saw a girl in Sparta that was an athlete - an accident happened - probably never play again - I pray for the health of your daughters and that they have a challenging and rewarding HS career. Now come on - let it play out on the court.....these years will pass faster than u can imagine - enjoy it cause "your going to miss this".....
  11. How will yall match up with Warren next week?
  12. O no....just saw where Stone lost to Clarkrange by 5. Hmmm...maybe there is something brewing over at Stone....?? Sleeper Team?
  13. Rhea Co beats an East Ridge team that scored a total of 32 points in 2 previous games. I may have to pick them as my 6 of 6 in District 6AAA. Stone "shot the lights out" on an 0-10 in their District Lenior City team. Warren looses 2 soft games then beats a tough Lebanon team and a medicore Cannon. White comes from 14 down and wins and Cookeville looses(?). Wow! Who's gonna be 2nd in 6AAA? It'll be a battle for sure.
  14. 90- I'm a fast learner. I love the fact you love you some White County sports!! Just think edge goes to Cville but we all know on any given night and absolutely no doubt White has talent and I really do like watching them play.
