That is correct. The 1984 was in 3A and 1998 and 2008 were 5A, which as mentioned above were the highest public classifications at that time

Thanks! That defense was one of the best I’ve seen in high school football as well. I hope we play again as well, the rivalry has been really fun to watch over the past several years.

We’ll have to agree to disagree on this one. I don’t really care to argue about what one considers dominant and the other doesn’t, but it’s not like Maryville just gave Oakland the ball in those positions. The Oakland defense forced the majority of those turnovers and the good field position on multiple occasions. That being said, I don’t care if that win is considered dominance or not. A win is a win, and it has nothing to do with Thursday.

Congrats to the Rebs on a great season. Tough way for the season to end but there’s no doubt you’ll be right back next year, loaded and hungry. Personally I can say that I would have been pulling for you guys as well on Thursday night if you had won the game last night. All class win or lose and I have nothing but respect for everyone involved with the program. Hopefully we can finish the job this time!
