  1. This is PN TN Wrestler of the year not 220 wrestler of the year categorized completely separate.
  2. Boeck is AAA Lynch is A/AA so you should expect that
  3. I feel compelled to add that Toby Lynch also was undefeated and a state champion in A/AA.
  4. My personal experience and overview of wrestling as a whole and what it does for kids is anything but negative. You will lose once when you think you should have won, you will win once when you thought you were gonna lose. Same as life and that's what I see as wrestling being the greatest athletic sport teaching life lessons. Team sports are fantastic for kids as well, don't get me wrong, but having no choice but to stand on your own 2 feet all by yourself and accomplish what you set out to accomplish can not be matched. that's inside the circle. Outside the circle there is a community of people who genuinely wish well and root for their previous or even upcoming opponents out of respect because they all know who has put in the work and truly deserve that one shot at greatness. im a proud father right now, but at the same time confident that what the wrestling community and sport has taught my boys will get them through things that only true gut checks and losses can teach you. That in the end you can still come out on top!! And you can beat things that you never thought you could!! just keep grinding!! been a heck of a ride!!
  5. any predictions and thoughts?
  6. There are kids in A/AA that spend a lot of time traveling to fight nights and off-season events that welcome the opportunity to wrestle the AAA guys or even better. My family have devoted our lives basically to give our boys the best opportunity they can have to get better. All this AAA vs. A-AA is crazy. Difference between facilities is unbelievable. Opportunity to wrestle equal or better talent for an A-AA kid who puts in the time to get better is not their fault. They wrestle whoever the other team has period. Point being work your butt off put in the time, and never have the opportunity to be respected because your small school? Crazy there ARE kids in A-AA that can compete, I agree it might be a small amount but there ARE. Anyway I’m venting because I’ve read 3 times in this thread, not trying to disrespect small school, but then you do. Some of those boys read this. Just saying. And Good luck to all at state this weekend. All Divisions
  7. Oh how do I agree with you, and to watch that happen after all the hours and hard work and sacrifices by these young men is not good for the ole ticker. And to see excitement on the face of the kid who fished out and the feeling of failure to the kid who was out there to wrestle hurts even more. but in the end it is ultimately the referees fault for allowing it to happen. I understand it being strategy to hang on and not get pinned in certain situations, but to do nothing and be rewarded for it is hard to watch.
  8. Pretty sure that in any match not getting pinned is a solid strategy, but just clinging to the mat? again if that's strategy job well done. congrats to all and it was a great tourney. Fairview was very impressive and I think they have big things in store for them over the next few years. Go BOBCATS
  9. I don't see this as complaining I see these as valid points determining the outcome. if you watched it you know, but hey if that's "STRATEGY" WELL DONE. LOL
  10. That is true. But it’s better than making the wife mad!! Lol
  11. maybe not so conventional to most..... But you might be onto something there!!!
