  1. Fourth round match against Peña was awesome.
  2. Hunter was at maybe 60% at that tournament. I know
  3. I don't see it. The gap between 3rd and 8th is huge at that level.
  4. Absolutely not. Let's not forget Hunter spent a season recovering from a major injury. A 100% healthy Hunter eats 100% healthy Desselle's breakfast every day.
  5. Until Hunter Mason shows up at 138 (He wrestles there nationally) or 145 from Single A and wipes the floor with everybody in the entire state from D2 in AA. Fortunately for everyone Hunter moves on to VT.
  6. Medina has beaten Stadel badly twice in the last few weeks.
  7. Cleveland alum Trae McDaniel at West Point. It looks as though he has worked himself into the starting lineup at 149 and currently has a 27-9 record. At one point this season he was on a 16 match win streak. Really impressed with with what he is accomplishing and it looks as though more is to come. Brayden Palmer at UTC. Brayden has proven to be one of our state's best. Hopefully he can break through and become a NCAA qualifier this year. Any others at the D1 level that have impressed you guys or have winning records? Obviously Cody Chittum is on the horizon at Iowa.
  8. A couple of things to note in Single A. Greeneville's 220, Chrisman, is not wrestling today (not listed in the brackets) and the number one ranked 195, Atwood, has moved up to 220.
  9. No I’m just friends with their dad. We text all the time.
  10. Ferrell and Lowery wrestled at 195. Track screwed up the weight. Ferrell is definitely at 182. Gabe is walking in the high 170s and has been all season. If it wasn’t for his brother being at 170 Gabe could easily make 170. Don’t read too much into Lowerys win.
  11. Agreed on Heckert. And at 195 there is Atwood. At 220 there is Curtis but not sure if Curtis just went there for duals. Curtis has lost to Atwood a few times over the last year so that would make sense. Curtis, if at 220, will give Chrisman serious trouble as well.
  12. Go to the tournament in track, link below. Click brackets. Select the division. Click the link, it is the small number, for dual you want. Click the play button next to the match you want to watch. If you can’t watch then yes something is up with your flo account. https://unapproved website/tw/teamtournaments/VerifyPassword.jsp?tournamentId=678921132 The link straight to flo is this https://www.flowrestling.org/events/10207524-2023-tssaa-tn-state-duals-archive-only/videos
  13. Yes but I’m not a fan of those for most kids since typically it is two an out. The ones who are elite and capable are going to those anyways. I’d rather teams do in-state and out of state duals against tough competition.
  14. Which makes the DB win over Summit super impressive because Summit did wrestle a really tough schedule.
  15. He did but in SV. This time it wasn’t close.
  16. DB destroys WC when it matters most. Wow wow wow.
  17. The freshman Norman takes it to the WC senior. Impressive work by DB so far. Wow.
  18. Really glad Dempsey pinned Griggs after that “injury” from the first dual.
  19. DB downs Summit in another close dual. Rematch of WC and DB for third. DB quieting the doubters. We shall see which team has enough in the tank. Really looking forward to Cleveland and Bradley.
  20. There was a lot of sentiment that DB couldn’t compete with WC. That talk should be retired. DB is for real. Brentwood showed their abilities as well
  21. I like Tucker and I've seen him wrestle a bunch but Warnock is definitely the favorite. Tucker is the underdog and will have to bring his very best.
  22. I favor WC and all the pressure is on them since they are definitive favorites. Otherwise they choked.
  23. WC is far from a foregone conclusion over DB. 120, 138, 145, 170, and 220 are matches that DB can win. I simply gave WC a decision. WC had better come prepared. Every kid at those weight classes I just listed is talented. These aren't scrubs.
