The area has grown in the past few years, no doubt. All of the area teams are currently good or have been good. This current Riverdale team has a very good coach and all of them have played extensive travel ball for a while. Certain circumstances a few years back helped develop this particular senior class, but they play hard and will have a great chance to be dominant for a few years to come.

Can someone update me on all the new coaches in this district now?

Unfortunately, journalist's don't always research situations they way they once did, especially in a case like this where it could hurt someone's reputation. Coach Webb is a stand up guy who has always worked hard and fielded quality teams.

Moore County wins by at least a touchdown.

Although Upperman has played well the past two weeks, I don't believe they will pull out the victory this week. They will have to continue to play better than expected to have a chance to win.

Macon County should win, but Smith County has a couple of athletic skill guys

It is definitely fine for a coach to bring the possible illegal move to the umpire's attention. However, the umpires should not change anything about their normal routine unless they were doing it wrong from the beginning. The umpire should continue to monitor the pitcher for illegal pick off moves every time just as normal. No need for a drawing or the 2nd base umpire to move out of his routine spot to focus on this issue.

I agree, I have seen Beard play the past few years and has incredible talent. Her role has changed this year and she has delivered.

Should be exciting, I think Upperman needs to limit the turnovers, but should be able to pull this one out if they are shooting like normal.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't count anyone out when it comes tournament time. South Greene definitely looked like the most complete team I watched, but everyone left is there for a reason. Should be fun to watch!
