Yep two well coached teams that don't like each other going at it. Did USJ ever lead. Jones girl from USJ is a baller. Took charge down the stretch. Almost pulled it off. Lee may be the best shooter I've seen this season. Great crowd, tournament atmosphere. Women's basketball is the 2nd most popular sport behind football in West Tennessee!

McKenzie is the best looking team to come of Carroll Co in a long time. Great balance and some depth. Would not surprise me to see this squad in Murfreesboro!

Gibson Co plays an extremely tough schedule. Lots of intense games that you have to really focus mentally to win. I wonder sometimes that being in so many intense situations can cause mental fatigue making it hard to stay on top of you're game. As a fan I love tough schedules but I don't know if you need to play as tough a schedule as Gibson Co does.

Very ugly game @ McKenzie last night. It was like which one of us can play the worst. District 11 is very weak this year. Region semis will get both these teams.

Gibson Co owns the 4th quarter. Great defensive teams do. I don't know about flopping but GC could beat most of y'all wearing flip-flops!

Region 6 is @ Bethel. Two great tournaments within 20 miles of each other. I'll be like a chicken with his head cut off!

Havent seen Clarkrange, Summertown or Loretto so can't comment on those teams. My Fillies defending region 6a champs, are going to have to upgrade their game if they plan on defending last years championship.

Greenfields starting 5 are pretty solid. Depth is a problem. Young Darby still not near 100% especially on defense. Both Gibson Co and Greenfield are great well coached teams that could play for the district and state championship both!

Southside puts a lot of pressure on a team and Gibson Co did a great job of keeping their composure. Once their defense started keeping #2 from getting to the rim I think made the difference. She wasn't nearly as effective when she had to take the 10' pull-up jumper. Greenfield and Gibson Co are the cream of the crop in west Tennessee 1a ball and after seeing both teams multible times I still don't know who is better!

Huntingdon plays same schedule as last year. Non region it's Milan, Waverly, Camden & Mckenzie.

Greenfield looked like a semi-final team last night against a tough Crocket Co team. Jackets shot the ball well. Moore finally started taking it to the iron in the 2nd half. I hate those short pull up jumpers. Biggs played well. Looked very confidant on her 3 point stroke. Young Darby played well but is not nearly 100%. I know she wants to play but not sure she's ready. I dont think she had a steal that tells you a lot.

I agree our girls work very hard but they're not being taught good fundamental basketball. How much better have our girls gotten since they were freshmen? You have to be solid with the basics.

Not saying y'all can't shoot the ball. I just don't see great shooters. Strength of your team is your defense and taking care of the ball. That will win you a lot of games. The Farris Fillies will be lucky to get the ball past mid-court on y'all !

I see Gibson Co as a very well coached great defensive squad. They do a very good job of taking care of the ball. Offensively your a little slow and not a great shooting team. Very solid team. Best 1a team west of the river right now. If little Darby can come back 100% that could change.

Man y'all are obsessed with the Mustangs. Only reason we don't get past the 3rd round is duck season. Our kids know if you get past the quarterfinals you get into duck season.

Saw Greenfield and Gibson Co last night. Great early season matchup. Gibson Co is solid, no stars but a well coached workman like squad. Greenfield misses young Darby. She's my favorite and maybe the best pure player on the team. I think old Darby is a post. She's a very good rebounder and tough around the basket. These are probably the 2 best 1a teams in the West. Good stripe crew tonight. The crew at Lexington Monday was awful!

Saw y'all play USJ. How many points was scored that wasn't scored by a Moore or Darby? Supporting cast is much weaker than last year. If y'all get in foul trouble you got problems. As far as the Fillies I wouldn't worry to much about them. No depth, no point guard. Got trounced by a very average Lexington team. Fillies are a weak team fundamentally. They're not going to beat a solid team.

This time of year a turf field is much better. Early in the season grass is great. But after the 1st frost and a couple of big rains the turf have great footing and not a muddy mess!

Be interesting to see if Cornersville schedules some good non region foes for next season. With the crowd y'all bring you should be an attractive opponent. I'll be disappointed if I see Perry Co on yalls schedule.

Glad to know Dresden ain't that bad. Would love to see Clarkrange play. Sounds like my kind of team. Love speed, layups are a pretty high percentage shot.

I'm calling it an even game in the hitting department. Both teams delivered the goods. Great game to observe if you're a fan of old fashioned physical football. We don't get to play enough games like this anymore.

How in the world did Trinity keep y'all off the board the 1st half? You better not start that slow against the Tigers or you'll be playing catchup big time!

Waverly's passing game is light years better than Trinitys. #11 and #37 are truly special players. Huntingdon sacked the QB 7 times and he still put up 42 on us!

Man when you spend a million bucks on a field you have to cutback in some areas. We can't even afford to pay off the refs!
