This is actually true. My son played for Roc at BGA on teams loaded with D1 guys. My issue was they were always a little too finesse. He would get obsessed with the speed and not run the ball enough. Shotgun at the 1or 2 yard line drives me crazy. He’s a good guy and a good coach, just not quite tough enough to get over the championship hump. That said, BGA should probably get him back. Not sure they can do better in the state the program is in now.

He did take several to Ensworth. The thing is he can get more. The administration at BGA has kind of gone a little woke, so I’m not sure how invested they would be to right the football ship.

The size difference in these 2 teams is really big.

23-16 CPA start of 4th Qt. FRA ball on CPA 5 yard line.

CPA is obviously good. Probably one of the best 2 to three coaching staffs in the state. FRA QB melted down. They didn’t run# 4 enough. To me they do have a few more athletes but not quite as strong on the lines at 18-19 etc. they will still probably win it all. The ref tonight we’re not great, but you guys always play to the edge of things. I’m not saying that’s bad, but a few of the extra stuff isn’t needed. The division just isn’t great with BGA, ECS, Notre darn, Knox Webb, CAK, GCA are shells of what they were. Lausanne and Boyd are the wildcards not sure how good they are.

2nd half CPA10 FRA7. FRA has about 4 or 5 turnovers. CPA isn’t as good as several years ago. They have 6-7 person fouls and unsportsmanlike penalties so far.

FRA is all in. Several ex NFL guys on the board of directors. They have brought in a bunch of new freshman this year. They beat CPA last year. With BGA going into the tank, they are the only challenger to CPA. D2AA is not very good this year. CPA, FRA, Lausanne and maybe Knox Webb. That’s about it. Maybe Chatt Christian and Davidson can be competitive. BGA, ECS, Pope are all way down.

Maybe FRA or Lausanne can give them a game. Nobody else in AA.

FRA at Franklin High. Honing to beat down another 6A scrub. They won’t beat CPA this year, but will beat everyone else. Pope, BGA, Webb are terrible. Goodpasture and Davidson fight for 3rd place. New coach at FRA has done a complete 180 in one year. They are all in on recruiting and building up the program.

New coach will get more players and depth at FRA. FRA going up, BGA going way down.

The middle region is way down other than Lipscomb. FRA much better coaching has helped. BGA is a train wreck. Davidson and Goodpasture not very good, not that it matters with Lipscomb.

First time seeing CPA, their defense is not what they usually have. FRA moved the ball at will.

That region is down a little this year. BGA has the worst team in many year. Lipscomb will roll through it.

He is a stud and great student. They are much bigger and tougher up front. They won’t beat CPA or Lipscomb but will beat everyone else in D2AA.

Lipscomb destroyed Indy. CPA stopped BA at the 1 yard line to win 21-17. Ravenwood scored with 1min to go, to beat BGA 35-31.

BGA lost their entire online and dline all started since sophomores. They have 1 Sr lineman and 1 lineman on the whole roster. They are weak in the trenches. The D1 skill guys are great but you can’t beat anybody good being weak up front. You lose front 7 to Navy, GaTech, UNA, ETSU, Centre, Sewanne, and Georgetown you are a paper tiger this year. Plus the cocky attitude you ripe for the picking. Not surprised at all by this score and I’m a BGA guy.

Rodriguez from ECS new BGA coach. Coming back home should be a great fit.

OC Schinder came 2 yrs ago. He was a very successful HC in Missouri before he came to BGA. Maybe Rodriquez from ECS.
