Couple things 1. Congrats Coach Ballard 2. The academics of the overall school and athletes don't always matchup for example every senior athlete in the class of 2017 graduated. 3. The whole Coach Ab discouraging players is true several players mentioned to me that one senior athlete was told that if he went to football practice instead of open gym he wouldn't play basketball at all. 4. The players had a mentor in Coach Reid but after the 2017 seniors graduated there was no longer in team leadership and a simple lack of passion for football.

Football is going down the drain in Humboldt because no one wants to play football everyone wants to play basketball

Reid tried to offer him a spot as an assistant before the 2016 season he stayed for 3 weeks. Then stopped coming to practices.

The claim of him not be engaged is trash it's not the coach it's the kids. Coach Reid even had some of the administration set up a cook out to bring more of the kids to play football. I've even heard that Coach Ab won't allow any possible varsity basketball players to play football after Izaya Brown and Devonte Bennett were injured right before basketball season. Next time do some research before you bash him ask any of the players that have played for him in high school get back with me.
