  1. Somebody asked. Probably the step-cousin of nobody
  2. Since the 7v7 reference seems to have slipped over the heads of a couple of you folks, the point of that comment was that Oakland hasn't gotten to play BA except in scrimmages and 7v7. Someone had mentioned Oakland and BA playing in the regular season and that's what the reference was to. We've only played them in the above 2 settings since about 2006.
  3. Lolol Cant believe it took that long for someone to jump on that!! Lol
  4. Discussing anything with you is pointless because it’s never a discussion. Now you know my thoughts, too. Not just the winner of all of your Imaginary Football League games? Need to change your screen name to Football Gypsy
  5. We've had preseason scrimmages with them for the past few seasons. Actually beat them in the semifinals of the Titans 7v7 this summer. I wish we could play some real foosball with them!!
  6. Yes, sir. Not sure who that will be. Or I haven'e heard, anyway.
  7. We don't exactly have folks knocking the door down to play us, either! Our coaches spend months trying to fill a schedule every 2 years, just like Rankin. We got bailed out this year because we added a new high school in Rutherford County and our region. Luckily, we added Germantown and Cordova already so we won't be searching, from what I've been told.
  8. The defense was at full strength for the first time ALL SEASON at the beginning of the playoffs so they actually DID improve a TON at that point. I agree about an Alcoa/Oakland matchup. An absolute slobberknocker!!
  9. Agreed. Unbelievably physical. I love watching him run the ball, tbh.
  10. Agreed. I NEVER like to hear of other young men injured to the point of not playing. He is most definitely a baller! But we only beat them by 3 the year before without Hopkins! Of course, lots of factors were different. Just saying that all teams have to get through injuries. Part of the game.
  11. They didn't cross the 50 all night. He's a great player, but not crossing the 50? Not sure his playing would've changed the outcome. Oakland didn't play Murvul all 5 weeks of the postseason. I said they were playing their best football the last 5 weeks of the year. Again, there are several teams who could make a case.
  12. IMO, that's a valid point in week 2 of the season. Oakland was missing several key players. At the end of the season, I would disagree that Alcoa is better than Oakland. The Alcoa team I saw at the beginning of the season wasn't nearly the same team I saw when they played Maryville. Oakland was playing it's most dominant football during the last 5 weeks. Again, just my opinion. There are several good arguments for several teams.
  13. MTF, you can't debate with a crystal ball! You and I are WAY closer to Oakland football than he could even begin to comprehend and WE have no idea how those games would turn out. Pretty sure no one thought Oakland would blank Maryville or Whitehaven, either. No way to know what he claims to know. I guess we're just fooling ourselves. Pretty sure he would've said the same thing if either of us had come on here saying Oakland wouldn't let Maryville or Whitehaven cross the 50 the entire game, too!!
