  1. Realistically you could make a non-biased argument for all three. Very interested to see who wins come March & what the reasoning will be for one over the other two.
  2. Witnessed this kid put up 43-10-10 against Wartburg. He can flat-out play.
  3. Two 20+ point victories at that
  4. Warren at Stone tonight. Who wins that one?
  5. Foul count in the first half of CCHS/SMHS was 18-14. Stone was getting called for plenty of stuff too. Yes, Dishman is out for CCHS but shouldn't miss any more games based on what I'm told
  6. Rockwood will give Oakdale an interesting test tonight. OD is way better but Rockwood is huge down low. Coach K is also excellent at slowing teams down. Let's see how well Oakdale can execute in a half-court, slow it up kind of game
  7. The district CCHS dropped into (7AA) only has four other teams, 8AA has eight total teams. Probably had to go down there for pure numbers sake.
  8. Hicks is averaging close to 30 ppg in district games thus far, including a 43-10-10 performance against WB. Only team that's had any success guarding him whatsoever has been Class AAA Stone Memorial and he was in big foul trouble the first time they played.
  9. This Oneida team will definitely put up a better fight than years past but I just don't see anybody in the district taking down Oakdale anytime soon. Thought Harriman could give them a scare and Oakdale beat them by 16. A lot of guys not named Hicks are stepping up and playing extremely well.
  10. That other district down there is weak from what I've heard. Oakdale, Rockwood and Wartburg each beat Sale Creek and they're supposed to be decent down there. Haven't seen any of those teams play though
  11. This game is a coin toss imo. Stone is huge and can run better than years past. Two college-level guards. Will be able to handle CCHS' press better than most teams. However, Cumberland County is still Cumberland County. Great shooters, relentless pressure in the half court too. Your guess for who wins is as good as mine
  12. Cumberland County beat a solid Blackman team Friday night. Lady Jets 6-0 so far and host Stone Memorial Tuesday.
  13. Those Oakdale Eagles sure are rolling. Gave it to Harriman last week. Let's see if they can pick up a win at Stone Memorial this week (who beat em by four last week)
  14. Stone should be solid this year. A LOT of size. Sophomore Emma Capps & freshman Tessa Miller are both legitimately 6'2" and play a lot better than your average underclassmen. Good guard play in senior Tessa Johnson and junior Alex Eldridge. I expect the Lady Panthers to be extremely tough this year. They open with Kingston tonight who has two college signees in Abby Wilson and Riley Guillemet. Should be a good game
  15. Over the past four years, Cumberland County is 105-23. Eight of those losses are substate and region championship games to either Blackman, Riverdale or Bradley Central. Should have a great chance at making it to Murfreesboro.
