We feel honored to not only to be able to share the field with the mighty Springfield Yellow Jackets but glad we could provide you with a spirited contest that will serve as a warm up to what will surely be a run to the state championship. Your dynasty is truly a wonder to behold.

Yeah those “scrappy” little teams that run for almost 400 yards on your defense. You gotta watch out for them. They will sneak up on you.

Central had CW down 24-6 at one point then CE let them back in the game and barely pulled it out.

Great players make coaches look good but yep, that’s why they play the games.

A few players? Have you seen the amount of seniors on that team? On both sides of the ball. Your looking at a .500 team next year and that’s because rest of district is bad too. Also CHS loses a ton as well. No one in Clarksville will compete for region as long as HC is around. This year was the best chance but it was wasted. If Kenwood gets smart and puts in an actual offensive system, they will surprise people.

Think Central, Clarksville Academy, and Clarksville have a good chance of advancing at least til the 2nd round. Next season will be an absolute dogfight because noone will be head and shoulders above everyone else. NE might be catching some payback for some shenanigans they pulled this year from some of these teams. Kenwood will probably have the most talent coming back of the 5A schools but they need a new offense, immediately. Rossview should be pretty good next year, as these young guys from this year will have a year under their belt. I think NE will be the only team with a new coach, possibly NW. Seriously doubt Stewart County will have a new coach, they have a hometown hero and he will get a chance to turn it around. Count on one thing, it will not be boring.

I agree and yes I know how the option works but they don’t have the athletes to keep up with Johnson. I do know that for sure.

Rain in the forecast will def play in Creekwoods favor although 23 will prob still be too much for their defense. The two brothers are super physical and love to hit. Might have to go watch this game.

Toughest team they played this year before HC was a Clarksville team missing their best player. The fact that team had JRM should be enough, this team had good players but noone close to JRM.

The competition in the city was ridiculously low this year and there is no chance this team competes against 2012. That team played way better competition throughout the schedule which helped big time come playoff time.

2013 team went to semi finals

Caught them coming off a bye. I have heard it all now. Most people would say they had two weeks to prepare for biggest district game of the year but now a bye is an excuse as to why they didn’t blow the team out. If I made excuses I could say Central lost by two and turned the ball over 4 times. That tells a story in itself.....

That was embarrassing for Clarksville and Montgomery County. Terrible behavior by players, coaches and fans. Thought the coaches were going to square up after the game. NE coach said something that fired Coach Counce up, would love to know what was said.

Curious if they are going to move it to Thursday. I would live to watch these two duke it out in the mud. Should be a great game

I concur. Portland is a good team with a stud running QB. My prediction is they will not have any luck covering 23 either. MC had two guys on him all night and he still made plays. The only reason I can think of for not getting the ball 20 times a game is that the coach likes to give other teams a fighting chance.

Great atmosphere to watch a high school football game as well. Springfield has a beautiful complex and for that two point conversion the place was rocking. 23 is a legit D1 player, he made plays when everyone in the stadium including the defense knew he was getting the ball. I think there is a good chance we see this game again.

What a game! Everyone got their money’s worth tonight and as promised, no excuses. Springfield was better team tonight. Would love to see this game again in the playoffs. MC tried everything under sun to stop 23 and nothing worked. Good luck Jackets!
