Summertown competitive for a while but Eagleville to much firepower

Played Loretto and Lawrence Co went 2-1 w both ( plus couple not so good teams ) didn’t look as dominant as I thought they would - Loretto again very tall and should be contender - Summertown got good news on both middle hitters the one that hurt ankle got back for one day and our Allstater could and I repeat could play at end of season if that happens we could make some lose

Anybody got play days this weekend and respond how it’s going

That’s nearly 300 more than fewest amount students

TSSAA has them 2A ( highest number students in that class )

Another injury for Summertown ( the hits just keep coming ) only middle hitter from last year tears up ankle in practice - long year just got longer

Eagleville has best overall talent I’ve seen so far and Sale Creek most fire power little suspect on defense

Summertown Had good day at Creekwood beat Camden Sycamore - Harpreth - work in progress but aren’t we all - sure miss our middle hitter maybe by tournament

Lost to Sale Creek but they are beatable

Just like I thought Summertown stinks it up but against good competition Blackman - Lincoln Co beat an Inept Columbia Aca - gonna be long year

Great for McEwen - TERRIBLE for Summertown

Hope all stay injury free and take it for what it is a learning experience - Summertown looked terrible last year at both play days but won STATE - it’ll be interesting who steps up later in the year

Rick Rice resigns at Summertown HS football program ( for the second time w only 3 weeks to go ) seniors now have had 4 head coaches in 4 years - if not going to honor your decision - and I know he’s had multiple personal reasons not to coach but had these before took over again - not fair to the kids

Lawrence Co HS teams are all streamed thru X Sports network get w them they’ll show you how to get it going I’m sure - they do a fantastic job

Almost time break out the balls whats it look like out there

Summertown had decent camp so far - up and down wo 2 starters - beat good Clarkrange team then loses to Cumberland Co then beats Clarksville team - loses to Wayne Coach ( no disgrace there ) then beats Obion Co -had few blowouts to teams we should beat We better get used I’m afraid to that this year hopefully be better at Tournament time

Well said my point exactly / no disrespect to you teeter but we did get girls nominated in golf and tennis after they won State Tournaments

Nobody I’m just saying would be nice for an MVP in any division to at least be recognized after all Summertown did beat 2 teams that had girls represented

Just saw where the “ Tennessean “ newspaper selected nominees for player of year in volleyball and Summertowns state MVP was not even mentioned among the 10 - shows must be popularity contest

Won’t say means nothing buuuttt most teams have several starters not playing because of other commitments or injuries - Summertown had 3 starters missing last play day - what happens end of season bet looks nothing like next few weeks
