  1. After 60 days they automatically come off the site
  2. Consider looking at the data different. West TN doesn't have dominant large schools but in comparison there are fewer large schools in West TN. They do have several small rural schools and at the 1a and 2a level West TN has represented well. Since the TSSAA creation of 6 divisions of public schools West TN as had 13 of a possible 20 1a & 2a State champions.
  3. March 4, 2023 is the official posting date on the below site. High School Head Varsity Football Coach/Teacher job in Halls, Tennessee (schoolspring.com)
  4. I feel the same way housemouse. It doesn't appear to have many housing opportunities available. Kids are grown and just me, wife, and dog but I've looked every day and can't commit to the process and "hope" something hits the market.
  5. Coincidentally to your post they are also looking for a MS Head Coach.......for the MS that is.
  6. I like Sunbright as a program but there isn't much housing around there.
  7. How's the recovery coming after the tornado?
  8. Noooo! I hate to hear that. I met with him last year and he seemed like a well-grounded coach.
  9. Our county announced today that as a result of the Thursday game decision for HS teams, all MS games are now on Tuesday.
  10. LC has a feeder school, Lara Kendall Elementary school, and they are as potent as the HS most years
  11. Keith Hodges is back at Dresden as a returning HC.
  12. McNairy Central is filled but I'll wait on the announcement to avoid stepping on any toes.
  13. TMSAA doesn't have a state championship for middle school football. Maybe someday but not today.
  14. Are they going to have a middle school program?
  15. Wouldn't that be as simple as asking one guy to scoot his chair over?
  16. I was told that there had been an issue with the director of schools with Coach Bryant (and a few other coaches) Now that she is gone....... Grundy County High School football coach Nick Bryant has been suspended for a week. The move comes after an incident during halftime of Friday's loss to Silverdale. The parent of an athlete says Bryant kicked a garbage can as he entered the locker room. The can hit one of his players, but didn't injure him. The school's athletic committee says its code of conduct was violated, so Bryant's been suspended for all activities through this Friday, including the upcoming game at Signal Mountain. Grundy County director of schools Jody Hargis says the suspension wasn't just over one incident, and that there were several issues leading up to it. chattanooga times free press Sep 18, 2013
  17. Worse than Red Boiling Springs?
  18. The TSSAA requirements have changed over the last few years to allow non faculty head coaches at public schools 2020-21 TSSAA Handbook Section 9. Can a non-faculty coach or a classified employee be a head coach? A. Yes. Provided they have successfully completed the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses OR the ASEP Coaches Education Course in a TSSAA-approved course combined with the TSSAA Online Coaches Training Session prior to May 15, 2013 and have been proper submitted to the TSSAA office.
  19. No Challenger I hear you. We have been watching the housing in the county as part of a decision process and I have noticed that the volume of available housing is reflective of the small population size and low turnover rate. I don't live in GC just looking as part of an analysis on decisions.
  20. Not a big choice in housing around the county for sure.
  21. You are correct, it has to be under the same principal
  22. The TSSAA listing is still on but they stay on for 60 days. The opening is no longer on the Grund County Schools employment page so maybe something is happening at least with the middle school age guys.
  23. A contributing factor with GCHS's weight room situation may be because of the TSSAA sanctions levied against them requiring 2 coaches to be in the weight room when students are present. Not an excuse but maybe a contributing factor give the coaching staff size or availability.
  24. Thanks for the encouragement. I will continue on here until I hear otherwise. We (MS) are getting back into the weight room next week so that will occupy more of my time in waiting. HS or MS, I believe that GC is worth investing time and energy into if we do it deliberately and purposefully.
  25. Well that may be a bad omen because I am an outsider but my dog in the race will always be the student athletes wherever I am.
