  1. If he didnt participate in any varsity games then he will be immediately eligible.
  2. They would have to apply for a hardship waiver to be eiligible, otherwise he would have to wait 365 days from his last play at CCS to play at Brainerd. If he played basketball at CCS and he's currently playing at Brainerd then it sounds like he already received the waiver.
  3. Jackson had 1874 passing yards, 1420 rushing yards, and 40 tds. He also had 57 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries and 3 interceptions. I'm not a Fulton fan but I am a fan of Football players. I think his numbers are very worthy of being Mr. Football.
  4. Regular seasons stats only. It's voted on and decided before the playoffs begin.
  5. 20 miles door to door as the crow flies
  6. https://tssaasports.com/football/television.cfm on regular tv across the state The NFHS coverage was good last year, they use the live tv announcers and stream
  7. West played and beat Alcoa and Maryville. They are prepared.
  8. TSSAA rules only allow for a single classification jump. The highest they could play would be 4a. The last time they tried to move many 4a teams went to 5a to avoid them. They had to stay in 3a so they could have any chance at a full schedule. Also, they have between 55-60 players on their roster, not even close to a 6a roster.
  9. I agree with most posters that Alcoa should win and this will be a very entertaining game. On a sidenote, I'm not sure if a team has beaten both Maryville and Alcoa in the same season but if the stars align and the breaks fall their way West certainly has the talent to pull it off. Who Knows?
  10. Here in East Tennesse i would say Jordan Harris from Alcoa would be the front runner. I don't have a clue to his stat line but he has scored in every phase of the game: Offense rushing and receiving, Defense pick six, and Return game tds. His yardage totals have to be pretty hefty, I believe he went for over 250 total yards and 2 scores in the win over Maryville. In my opinion he will be tough to beat.
  11. Pearl-Cohn is the answer you are looking for.
  12. Coach Rankin is 467-78. He needs 33 wins to reach 500.
  13. Coach Nix, he most definitely wants to be the guy!
  14. His son the Kicker just finished his RS Freshman year at MTSU.
  15. Tullahoma with the "Big Ones" win.
  16. I hate to be the bearer of bad news.... In Tennessee, a bill passed in spring 2021 will require all school districts to create open enrollment policies by fall 2022. Open enrollment refers to whether parents can send their children to any public school, regardless of where it is located. Parents wanting to transfer their child to a different public school than the one they are assigned should contact their local school district to explore their options. Open enrollment is an important way that parents have access to a broader variety of public schools.
  17. Whoever built your indoor turf practice facility should have thrown that in as a bonus.
  18. That would probably indicate there were 2 men engaged with the d lineman. The rule is very vague as you can see, but it is intended to apply to a single blocker. If it's 2 guys doing a High/Low then that's no bueno. I would fully expect WN to get a heavy dose of solo submarine blocking all night long.
  19. Football Rules Changes - 2021 By NFHS on May 27, 2021football Share Print Action in the Free-Blocking Zone [2-17-2c (NEW), 2-17-4] Blocking below the waist now requires the block to begin immediately following the snap.
  20. It comes down to discipline and consequences for your actions. The best teams will rep plays and cadence until they can do it without even thinking, it becomes instinct. Then those players that made the mistakes on Friday will be running after practice on Monday, and i don't mean a lap around the field, i mean running until it hurts. The next game when you line up there's no way in hades that kid is moving early. And repeat offenders won't have to worry about future penalties because they are on the sidelines watching proper execution. It's the same mentality that our armed services use in basic training.
  21. Mr. Football only includes Stats from the regular season. All votes were cast last Tuesday and it's a sealed blind vote. They will announce the semi-finalists on the 24th and the award will be presented on the 7th at the Titans Mr. Football luncheon. Other things taken into consideration were Academics,Character, and strength of competition. If this award was stats based only, the nominees would look somewhat different. Case in point would be Powell QB in 5a and the Carter QB in 4a. Both of those dudes had ridiculous stats. And truthfully the Powell QB got robbed, he had better stats this year than last year when he was a semi-finalist.
