  1. I think you mean who was the most popular at each weight.
  2. I personally hate this tactic to try and get points. Rule change needs to happen soon, to me its the same thing as running your opponent out of bounds when he gets his feet while attempting a stand up. I don't know if this is truly Sweeny just trying to push him out because at the beginning of the clip he is pummeling in and makes some knee taps but towards the end of the clip it is close, personally I did not see the match though. I have seen heavyweights do this to try and get stall calls and it makes me sick as a former heavy myself. Like I said, a rule change needs to happen to where this could be considered fleeing the mat because it you are in fact trying to push the action out of bounds.
  3. I hope you are right about the finals! Buckman beat Williams last year in the Halls Invitational but they haven't seen each other yet this year. Brent's only lost this season came to Gibson in SV OT but he beat Gibson the week before that at the Cleveland duals so the two are 1-1 on the year. IF (BIG IF) Brent can make it past the defending state champ then my money is on the red devil (of course)!!!
  4. Using Pin-Tn Rankings- At 220 unranked Harp (Halls) beat #4 Boone (Oakland) 14-8 And not sure if its an upset but #5 at 195 Buckman (Halls) beat #5 at 220 Miller (Wilson Central) 9-4. Both Harp and Buckman weighed in at 195 and both matches were at 220. My red devils failed to live up to their hype last weekend but hopefully we can have a strong showing next week!
  5. Halls has an "above average" 126 who lost to Horst/Palmer (not sure which one) in the semi finals of the Wilson Central tournament by 4 or 5. If he can avoid bonus points again then that could be huge for the red devils. Go Big Red!
  6. Halls won region 2 and Anderson County will be going to state for the first time in the history of their school. Congrats to those guys!
  7. I think he is well aware of that, and was more asking do they wrestle for a "true second"
  8. You guys do remember that nobody gets a medal at the end of the year for what they were ranked? Also remember that high school kids read these boards just as much, if not more than, us adults. I do not know who makes the rankings, but I do know whoever it is he has been doing it for years and seems to be very knowledgeable on the sport. If you personally think you can do better, please do! Invest your time and energy into looking up results for 3 divisions- each with 14 different weight classes-, make your list and post a link for everyone else to critique. I am not trying to defend who makes the rankings, as I do not even know who that is, just trying to keep some perspective. It is perfectly fine if you want to make an argument about a head-to-head win or loss or even a common opponent that you think is being over looked. However, please remember my first two points above before you insult 16 year old kids online.
  9. Who won between WB and Maryville during the regular season? Clinton or Anderson County will likely be the #2, and this may be the first time in either of these schools history that they have made it to the state tournament as both just started programs about 4 or 5 years ago.
