Still very early but after some early season non conference tune up games who is looking like contenders and or pretenders? Is Hampton and Hancock for real? I'm going to say in District 1A- Between Cloudland, UH, Ng and Hampton its going to be a Dog fight, with Unaka possibly playing spoiler on who wins it outright.

This year will gain them valuable experience on what could be a Deep State Tournament run next Year. Sky is the limit and who knows... come February and tournament time we might could make a run this year but it wayyyy to early to expect that.

Hampton has looked impressive so far in scrimmages as well as last night. Really young may cause ups and downs but really interested in seeing us play against a quality opponent. If Avery and Sullivan Central are quality opponent's we might just be Loaded :)

The next few years we will definitely be a better TEAM. It would be interesting to see if we have had more than 2 assist per game this season. Too much one on one and no inside presents. Got to play inside out come tournament time. Living and dieing by the three usually ends badly. Too many opportunities to get upset. Also will say North played with more of the I want it more than you mentality.

I think last night was only the 3rd game he has really struggled. All three we lost. Sullivan Central, John Battle and HV. Humm... Nov 16th, December 14th and January 31st. If that trend continues you might get lucky. Cland on Feb 9th or more than likely at Cd on the 12th

If Drew is hot we are good, because it overcomes our glaring weaknesses. Uknoit2 mentioned all those weaknesses above. This hasn't changed since the first game. Oh well I guess it's one game and no need for panic but gosh that was UGLY.

North Greene just beat Cland at the Den.

So will the top 2 seeds in the conference get a bye in the district tournament sucureing a spot in the regional?

Agree with Uknoit2 ,Something to consider, the dogs play 5 games in 7 days after the unaka game. After Unaka we only have one remaining home game (UH). We also play 3 non conference games Away against AA opponents. Two of those teams have beaten us this year at our place. NOW it doesn't appear that we are the same team as we were then. Just a few things to keep an eye on. Hopefully our confidence continues and we don't suffer some momentum killing losses before the district tournament begins. And I know at the end of the day it's all about conference games but that Big MO goes along way this time of year.

I can't believe the Cloudland/Hampton game is just a day away and there's no thread. What has the world came to that we are still on the North Greene thread.

Ahh correction some of that line up hasn't seen the floor . Jones, Hardin, Owens are regular contributors.

Difinatly some big IF's there. I would say it depends on the need s if they could step up and make a difference. This is a tough team to prepare for for other teams im sure. You never know who is going to kill ya. Look at the UH game, that line up that brought us back hasn't seen the floor since but it's not been needed either so heck who know what one of the best coaches in E Tn has up his sleeve.

Other than the Cdoak game and the foul fest against Wartburg this team could be 16-1-15-2 very very easily. We have also won some very close games that could have us 2-15 also. Very small margin for error but we can definitely get on a roll here and keep the sub state streak alive. We have not reached our peak potential yet. Still have a ace or two in the whole as well

It all will be determined on the defensive end of the floor. Both Unicoi and Cland can score the ball. Who wants it more.

4 very solid teams at the top that could win this conference. As we know well S north and throw in Unaka could pull an upset or two. Nice to know that the Dogs and Cland are tied for first for now tho!
