  1. Who are the other two? I think applications are taken until Friday.
  2. Any thoughts on who could possibly be interested or have heard who has applied for the job?
  3. Coach Brown is a class act and it will be hard to follow. Luckily he has changed the culture and shape of the program and it’s success should continue because of what he has done.
  4. I hear they hired Shannon Williams. He was the head coach at Ooltewah around 10 years ago and has been the OC at Red Bank for the past couple years. He seems to be a very knowledgeable guy.
  5. A fake pirate ship with some smoke and music isn’t that intimidating
  6. Strickland is just a junior along with all the other running backs. You all are the ones losing your best back. See you next year.
  7. What a game the Red Bank vs South Pitt game would have been.
  8. With 5 seconds left while in the victory formation, after the QB had kneeled, a Sweetwater player charged in and gave a cheap shot on a Red Bank player. A RB player then shoved that player back and drew a unsportsmanlike penalty.
  9. Because they had players diving into knees of engaged players and Coach Brown asked the officials to watch. It happened again with a kid getting injured without penalty. I guess the officials didn’t care about the safety of our players and obviously Coach Brown does so he was upset. I have seen a lot of high school football, but that had to be the worst officiated game I have ever seen. The score was 49-10 with maybe 3 minutes left when they ejected Coach Brown for coming on the field (while he had an injured player on the ground) so the game was essentially over. I thought a coach could step onto the field with a player down? I hope the film of this game gets sent to the TSSAA for review. That crew needs to be reprimanded for the lack of safety of the players.
  10. Kind of weird that the away stands were full at 5:30 when the gate didn’t open until 5:30. There might have been 4 people walk up when the gate opened.
  11. I don’t know how you can say untested. Red Bank opened at 2018 5A region champ Soddy Daisy, who returned pretty much their whole offense. At 6A Ooltewah, and at the time, at 4A state ranked East Hamilton.
  12. Red Bank’s concession stand ladies look better than that and their food is even better. That’s where I would eat if I were looking.
  13. Thought I would start one in the 3A-4A. Thoughts on the game?
  14. After two big wins can the Lions stay focused and keep it rolling?
  15. Haven’t heard very much about Ooltewah. Any thoughts on the game? It could possibly be a tough game for the Lions against a usually tough 6A team.
  16. I don’t know what game your talking about, Red Bank played Friday. Friday nights game, if I recall, #5 had one of the four scores for Red Bank. The sophomore running back had 130 yards and a TD. You keep talking about the schedule but the bottom line is they still lost.
  17. Driving down their throat? They fumbled at midfield. Dropped passes in the end zone are a tad different than the fifty yard line.
  18. A couple of bad snaps and dropped passes in the end zone before the half, that game would not have been close. Red Bank should have won by 20. It should not have been as close as it was.
  19. That was my point. You can’t gauge one score versus a team against the score of a different team against said team. I guess you didn’t understand what I meant.
  20. That was Red Bank’s second game and they were not completely healthy then. To try to use that game as a comparison of how they have been playing lately is ludicrous. Red Bank had a running clock on Smith County. Neither Sequatchie, York, or Upperman did so does that mean Red Bank will automatically win against all of those teams? I am not saying it won’t be a competitive game but you can’t use that as a gauge.
  21. Red Bank played three teams out of that region in the playoffs last year. York and Smith were blowouts and Sequatchie was the only team that was within one score. Smith was the #1 seed, York was #2. Upperman was #3 and lost in the first round. I believe Red Bank has played this style of football before so it’s not like they have never seen it. The real question is can region 4 play fast enough to keep up with region 3.
  22. I don’t think they will bring many fans. Red Bank had more fans than them at their home field.
