Why people continue to think and believe this is hilarious to me. For a long time Henry County hurt themselves. They outlawed Freshman from playing varsity football but those freshman class numbers still counted towards their number of enrolled students in a school. Here is the big talking point left out if your not from Paris you would not know. Henry County feeder program for high school football is actually a city school, Paris W.O. Inman. Our city school system does not have a high school. But if they did Paris would have probably close to 10-15 3A or 4A state championships. Our middle school program has at least 10-15 West TN championships in the past 25 years. Ask the other great programs in West TN like Milan, Martin, McKenzie, Dresden, Union City, and Huntington. Almost 95% of the great players that play at the next level are from this school system. Henry County/Paris is a very small town. Google it.

After watching film on Southwind, rain would be beneficial for Henry County's style of play. Southwind wants to spread you out and use their speed and athletic ability. They like to put the ball in the air. Hopefully we get a good rain during the game, coupled with the long ride to HC and crowd noise would be a great home field advantage.

I don't know about the biggest test. Don't forget HC has played Riverdale and Brentwood this year. Super solid 6A programs that are still in the 6A playoff championship picture. They went 1-1 in those games, with a loss by 3 points to Brentwood after leading most of the game. Also scrimmage some solid teams in 6A out of Memphis as well as MBA in Nashville. Southwind does have a good QB, but he is no Caden Marshall. I'd be willing to say Southwind has not seen a QB like Marshall all year!

Huge difference those two guys are playmakers.

Henry County will have to get pressure on the QB in order to win this game, an issue they had with HHS. It is a great thing they got to play against a great dual quarterback this past Friday. They will see the same style QB maybe a little better when you think about the weapons he has on the outside. I expect to see Marshall play a lot more defense this game which will make a huge difference on that side of the ball.

I played with 5 of the top 10 Henry County players all time in my opinion. These guys started the playoff streak in 2006 under Joe Gaddis. Calvin McNairl- TSU Marsalis Teague- UT Dominique Allen- LSU Lamar Theus- Murray State and William Henry- Bethel. The first three guys were known for offense. Marsalis was a great athlete and the best athlete on the team full of athletes but did not play offense when we played together, and he wasn't even the 1st or 2nd best player on our defense (Henry/Theus). I say that to bring light to how great Marshall is. Marshall is more athletically gifted than all these guys. Has the speed of Teague the strength/size of McNairl, actually a lot bigger. And the hard nose running style like Allen. Here is the kicker the guy might not even play quarterback at the next level. He is just as great on Defense. On defense he is a swiss army knife. He is similar to Henry as he can play anywhere on the defense and offense but is a lot better athlete. Henry could not play corner. Marshall can play anywhere on both sides of the ball outside of the O line and DT. All these guys could play both ways but Caden is better on either side than any of them. Caden Marshall is without a doubt the best Henry County Football player ever.
