  1. Jim B was a great one. But he lost his share of games as well. Losses happen. You sure don’t win them all. You learn from losses.
  2. Everyone has their preference of who they would like to coach. Coach Jackson would not take this job if offered. Creasy and his staff talk bad about this place. People forget Creasy tried to get out of here for 3 years before getting Oakland. He wanted the Brentwood job but didn’t get it. Truth be known their were about 4 coaches who turned this job down before barker got hired. Nobody wants to put up with this mess and the coaching network knows it. So some of these rail birds that are always wanting a new coach everytime TC loses be careful what you wish for. I don’t think the players are content on losing to anybody. They lost to 6A lebanon who is 6-2, 2A Watertown who is 7-0 and 1A Whitwell who is 7-0....by a total of 11 points.
  3. If TC is winning everyone happy. If they lose everyone blames coaching, says they would have never lost if the had this coach on the sideline etc. I played for the great Coach Satt and he is a proven winner and I know guys sometimes forget now that he lost several games as well... his last 2 years as head Coach here he lost 9 games in 2 years.. Creasy who also is legend here and took over for Coach Satt in his last 3 years here he lost 8 games. People forget they didn’t win all their games either and they had some legend teams. I have a close view to this team being close to several assistant coaches on this staff. They are a close group of coaches who really get along with each other. They are coaching hard and are intense on sideline. People want to criticize and blame but they have no idea how hard these guys work. Just last week everyone was talking these guys up at their 4 game winning streak and how everyone was gelling and now people get on here destroying them. I’m biased cause two of them I grew up with. But I can tell you this, whether you agree with play calling or whether you hate the coach, I know without a doubt that TC has a head coach that cares about his players at not just being good football players but about seeing them excel in life.
  4. #5 throw? You are crazy. That’s what we been saying in stands last 4 weeks. #5 threw ball in dirt and was too slow to run at qb. 5 is a fullback that is big and slow. I can see putting 6 at TB some. The problem of running double wings is 6 and 8 will have to block when not running ball and I’m not sure how good they are at that. Throwing the ball is not the answer. I remember going games without even throwing a pass. Biggest difference last night is the skill guys could from Whitwell could run and they were not giving up big plays. You need 5 at fb to block. He was Doinv a good job blocking last night
  5. They did at half time. Came out and drive in 70 something yards for score. They dang went spread second series and had to punt. Same thing worked against Whitwell that did against Watertown. Running right at them. I would put 8 at tailback like they did last year against Watertown when he had 200 something yards ... can 6 throw ball any?
  6. 5 is a fullback that filled in at qb. He hasn’t been a run threat all year and that’s why 6 played at qb wasn’t it against est Robertson? . Kids said he got dinged before half. 4 is not better than 21... 6 is only other person that can make a difference. I would like to see 8 and 6 in backfield together. Remember when u played? Coach playing u at TB and QB.... it was all 6 show then
  7. The kicker was missing 20 yard field goals at practice according to players. Way out of his range. Every player will tell you that and they love the kicker.8 has been workin his tail off to at practice everyday all year. You were a great player before my time as a player but you and I both know if 6 had all those yards last night 8 had you wouldn’t say a word. The one who has carried this team is 21 and he had a bunch of carries last night to
  8. RTD were you at Watertown game. What worked against Watertown was basically what TC ran last night. Against Watertown it was out of the I and running right at them. Last night TC had more yards than the Watertown game but didn’t score in red zone. They got in I last night but 21 is too small. Against teams with speed that can match TC they are better running right at people but they need to maybe work 6 at rb and work some quick passes.
  9. I lived it here as a player. You are correct these are kids. And truth be known there is a lot more than just winning gold balls. You find out who the true fans are after a loss. They use to praise us when we won and same old guys would bash us when we lost.
  10. Second half I’m not sure what was changed but they should have ran that all night. Maybe rest 8 some at qb with 6 and give both carries but they didn’t stop TC. The int hurt! Sure I think they could have maybe spread it out more but only 2 punts on the night and it kept their offense off field. From your previous posts I assume your #6 Dad. He’s gonna be a good player. But they weren’t letting him run speed sweeps. They may need to line him up some at rb
  11. According to someone I truly respect on the staff, he said that Chassee cannot kick over 25 yards. 8 made several longer field goals last year. I know one against friendship and Lebanon so that’s why they decided it. That’s coming from someone that u would respect also.
  12. TC has lost two top 5 teams in Watertown and Whitwell, and to the best lebanon team in forever. You refer to getting ball to other guys, only other guy is 6. They weren’t gonna let you run speed sweeps. Play 6 maybe at rb or put him at qb some to rest 8. I would like to see throw the ball to 7 more but after the int I was dang yelling don’t throw it again . 5 is not a threat running the ball right now for TC. He is a lot slower coming off knee surgery.
  13. Maybe try 6 at rb some. 21 is just little and he goes down to easy against bigger teams. He’s had a great year though. Last week all the yards came from 6 and 21 against East Robertson. This week is was 8 and 21. I don’t think 8 throws ball great. He had 7 wide open on int ... but Who knows.
  14. You guys are funny. Just a few weeks ago you were blasting Davy for throwing too much. Heck when I played here with Satt we never there the ball. 300 yards rushing is good. Just got to turn them into points. Maybe play 6 at rb some so they can’t take his speed away on perimeter?
