  1. Kids played hard on both sides. Alcoa did what Alcoa always does, WIN!! I am proud of Alcoa and their winning ways. Rankin maybe a lot of things but a Crook is not one of them.
  2. After rocky start to Alcoa/GP I now believe PC has the definite advantage in two weeks.
  3. In my honest opinion: 1 play calling is very simple and immature 2 way to many gimmick plays (small ball) 3 no trust given to QB’s and pre-determined receivers get the ball they just don’t beat people that are as good or better coached than they are!!!!
  4. Smoke&MIrrors looked pitiful to me. Had the pass open all night. Much rather run because of game plan instead of giving his players a chance to win. Lacks discipline on defense.
  5. Alcoa has the best receiving core in Tennessee HS football. 99, 12, 13, 44, 8, etc could play anywhere and be dominate. Powell gets all the credit but in reality Tornados have it. Size, speed, and ability. I am sure they will look really good against Union County!!
  6. It’s not about competition, it’s about win totals. They get out coached every year against Maryville. Maryville is the only team who is not scared of them. Most teams are beat before they take the field. Starters play half the game. Not fond memories being made like that on the field to tell their kids and grandkids about.
  7. Rankin is wanting 500 wins ASAP!! He really doesn’t want to play Maryville but has to. No other 4-5A schools also do not want to play them so a TV game with $$$ makes it work out
  8. Agreed. Both guys have their own good qualities. 11 does show some mobility. 4 reminds me of last years AE quarterback. Could actually be a linebacker.
  9. I like that the kids get to play as many games as they can. Playoffs maybe watered down but that also leaves room for the upset. Pearl Cohn got beat two or three years in the playoffs that they had beaten two weeks earlier by 40 points. That same team nearly beat Covington.
  10. Wow! No fumbles, interceptions or mistakes to speak of. Last Junior QB almost lost to Grace, did lose to Kentucky, and Maryville.
  11. I feel DB’s #13 wasn’t used enough. He is an outstanding QB but wasn’t allowed to throw the ball hardly at all. Great for Alcoa but to bad for him.
