Well, it’s not necessarily an open secret. People, other than myself have noted how Lewis County is ALWAYS in a weak region and ALWAYS schedules weak opponents. So e of these posts are almost two decades old! #prideinbeingregularseasonpaperchampions

“Unionville”, East Hickman, Spring Hill, Hickman, etc... Collinwood, Waynesboro (when Hohenwald knows they are not good), Summertown (basketball/softball school), Richland, Middle Tennessee Christian and any other teams not good!

Hohenwald only has one loss this year and that was to a state champion. They are always in the top ten! What’s up with this poll?

Competitive? Since when is playing a schedule full of bad to terrible teams and running up the score just to try to look impressive competitive? If Lewis County is competitive why are they ALWYAS put out of the playoffs in the early rounds? A 10-1 record with a first round playoff loss is not the definition of competitiveness.

DD, you of all people know we (nobody on here) do not name names! This is something EVERYBODY knows and everyone is aware of!

Your correct DD. Especially when the coach has a couple of buddies in the T$$AA to make sure your team is in the weakest region possible containing the weakest possible teams. Add in the extremely poor out of region schedule and you have misnomers for season W/L records. Explain how Hohenwald goes 10-0 or 9-1 but gets bounced from the early rounds of the playoffs year after year after year? Here you were, feeling all proud of your team and their yearly record until I came along and popped that bubble! Lol

Yeah, but “we can’t help what region we are in. You would have us playing 6A Riverdale, Maryville bla bla...” We are not a fake program intentionally scheduling weak teams year after year. Nor do we have a couple of buddies in the T$$AA to hand pick weak regions to place us in. Aannnndddd we are not known for being #regularseasonpaperchampions

It's time for Lewis County to get back into the top 10 of 2A. I say Lewis County big, 42 or 48-14. That would make the record at 4-1 and would look good for the polls. Then, after next weeks domination of Loretto, that will be 5-1 and will look very good! Then, after rattling off wins against other power houses such as Adamsville, Scotts Hill and the juggernaut of (Summertown), the regional championship will be decided with Riverside. Either way, Lewis County will be poised to enter the playoffs once again for a record umpteenth time. But, like all the other times, they will be bouncing those basketballs by the second Friday night of the playoffs! Doesn't this sound so familiar?

Through this week, Lewis County opponents have a six and nine record, excluding Fayetteville. That is, six (6) wins and nine (9) losses, so far this year.

Lewis County should win this one with the clock running! After completely decimating 5A power house Spring Hill and Centerville getting pummeled by powerhouse Richland, I see another easy win this week. The only blemish on the record is a close, hard fought loss to Powerhouse and returning state champion Fayetteville. Bring on the playoffs!

After barely losing to 2A power house, Richland, Hickman County rolls into Hohenwald, who just beat a big time 5A juggxrnaught in Spring Hill. With the only loss of the season coming to a state champion, Lewis County enters the region with only one loss. Who comes out on top of this region match up of long time rivals?

I went back and read through the first posts. It does sound like there was a major rivalry among these two teams back in the day. I give Hohenwald a lot of heck for almost always bouncing out of the playoffs in the first two rounds and never scheduling quality opponents but, seeing how they were successful against those Butch Toner teams of the early 90's, kudos to Hohenwald. That guy came in and completely turned Loretto around! Too bad for all of his (and everyone else's) teams having to play against the private schools then!

Let me put it to you this way; Lewis County will not schedule them!

Oh, you are just trying to make this something it is not! When we were in the same districts, Hohenwald barely had an above .500 average against us and there was not some 400 kid discrepancy like you are trying to make it out to be. Our enrollment did not begin to increase drastically until the large influx of people moving in here the last few years. So, for note, Spring Hill has a very similar enrollment as us. However, I don't see Lewis County wanting to schedule us! Is that because your team knows we are not a down program, have not been down and most likely, will not be down like Spring Hill's? Ha, y'all schedule the Red Boiling Springs of 5A! Same old Hohenwald! #regularseasonpaperchampions

Yeah, the first win was in the single A playoffs (forty years ago). The other three wins, Spring Hill has a combined record of six wins and twenty four losses in those seasons! LOL What does that tell you about Hohenwalds year after year scheduling? #overrated

Spring Hill has only had one season above .500 once since 2009 and only twice going all the way back to 1998. They are, however, 5A. How will this one turn out? Will 2A Hohenwald keep them out of the W column or will the 5A school have enough population to out talent the 2A school?

They had McCurry and he is/was a good coach. That was a messed up deal in Marshall Co. where they had two head coaches. He didn’t do himself in favors in Marion Co but I would have figured he would have done well there.

Saw where GC is ranked and doing well. Who are their playmakers? Same coaching staff from a decade ago? Franklin County is bad and I believe they are going to be that way for a while. At least until they get rid of or control parent politics.

MC gets this one this time. I think their offense is going to be just a tad better than Tullahoma’s D. Just a little more speed to and around the end.

Can we get one (poll) out to the #18 spot like two weeks ago?
