Just imagine the Reeves kid at fullback and Rivers at tailback in a eye formation.

He needs some footwork drills and speed drills including in his training. Plus the offense they run in Huntingdon in for smaller quicker backs because of the tight splits of the offensive lineman.

I know 5 legit teams including private schools in Memphis that will be pursuing T Rivers to be a starting tailback for next season. Might be a good look for him, he will get much needed exposure and will attend all the SEC and other division 1 football camps.

That team in 2018 and 2019 was Freshman and Sophomores, they had good skill players but lack the experienced lineman. Fast forward to this year everyone is mostly seniors. This will be the best team Huntingdon has played all year. Just hope that the misdirection plays confuses MAHS defense. By the way I live in Memphis.

Should be a good game, Mitchell has one of the better coaching staffs in Memphis.

First i will say congrats to Huntingdon on all you accomplished this season. I seen the Mustangs play once in person this year against Colinwood. First thing I said to someone after #7 carried the ball was why is he not getting more carries. Playing inferior teams brings a false sense of greatness. #7 runs with a purpose, aggressiveness, and attitude. So it mind boggles me on how he's not the focus of the offense. I'm not caling for Coach Swenson firing because its no one I can think of as a good fit with the so called Huntingdon Family, (Most of the coaches either grew up in Huntingdon or have ties to the area). Hiring someone not from the area wouldn't work because i dont think he will play politics and all the other BS that goes on in Huntingdon.

Did you leave after halftime, Didnt hear much chatter about this undisciplined team. The D1 prospects are underclassman, Freshman and Sophomores. Yes Greenfield played very well in the first half but second half when they where smacked in the mouth the team and coached laid down. Quote from a few of Orange Mound's finest 8ball and MJG "lay it down lay it down etc etc etc"

Dont think Greenfield will beat Prep with just the QB

Horn Lake is #1 in the state in 6A, Oiive Branch not far behind, remind your Cordova is in 6A

Are we talking about all time or just this year. Private schools have to be included because these teams recruit heavily in the city. Which is a big reason why all of the smailler teams are not as good. Kirby is legit, they have been building something special under Coach Flowers

Whitehaven, Memphis Central, Kirby, Germantown, CBHS, MUS, Lausanne,Cordova,Houston, Briarcrest Not to mention Olive Branch, Horn Lake, Southaven right outside of Memphis that also recruit in Memphis heavily

I think Memphis schools get a bad rep because most of the people in upper west TN have only seen 1A and 2A Memphis teams play. I know 10-15 teams in Memphis that could beat any team outside of Memphis in West TN. but teams outside of Memphis will only schedule certain teams during the season. The myth that most coaches in Memphis know about teams in rural areas is that everyone is good, well dicipline, and well coached. Yes it is some good coaches but lets be honest maybe ten teams from 1A to 5A are legit,then you have a whole bunch of subpar programs.

Well we will see Friday, i will be at the Greenfield vs Prep game. Prep is definitely not typical. Hope to turns out to be a good game.

I agree Lake County is one of the best 1A programs in the area. Playing smash mouth in 1A is not the hard with that schedule. Don't put all Memphis Teams in one catagory. You should know "its levels to this"

I'm not a coach or a Fan of Prep, I'm actually from Huntingdon. I live in Memphis and keep up with football in both areas.

Not sure if Prep can or not, all I am saying is both resumes can be challenged picking out certain games.

We can pick out certain games from the schedules of all these teams, for example what happen to Lake County against Dresden Greenfield against Hollow Rock Bruceton Greenfield against South Fulton Are is it because 1A football in the area is very weak and the only decent team is Huntingdon and everyone else is mediocre at best. Lake County your are above most teams up the way but I still have ???? best win is a Gibson County win who lost in the first round of the playoffs
