Actually Blackman won by 2.  Score was originally posted wrong.  Still don’t understand how game was this close though.  Any insight?

must of been like coffee county and missed a lot of lay ups and free throws while turning the ball over against a poorly coached team all while thinking about christmas break

I read the official accident report yesterday and it said " player was hurt running a 5 on 4 practice drill. A PRACTICE DRILL - 5 on 4 means we are using more than the 3 players allowed. Coach for Tullahoma was in attendance directing drills and even running plays and player was hurt running practice drills. This is cheating, period. Practice starts October 31 this year and we got a 2 month head start on the field. Its worth losing a week of summer practice or whatever slap on the wrist we got last year when Cody was practicing.

my granddaughters friends who play in Tullahoma have made it known they are indeed practicing.  They have also expressed their wishes that the old coaches be asked to come back because of their dislike of the new staff.  Sounds like tullahoma girls basketball from the 80’s and 90’s

Com’on Fawny “Doing a Great Job” Hardly. . WTF was going on unsupervised to ALLOW 10 of your best players and ur D1 kicker to basically get kicked off the team for 1/2 the season? The staff should KNOW what the Kids are doing on and off the field. PERIOD. .  Someone dropped the ball. . Who is responsible is debatable.
    But facts are facts.

I am glad to be a grandmother now and have my own kids out of the house because the day of holding your own kids accountable and expecting the parents to take ownership of their children have gone by with the good music and low gas prices.  expecting coaches to know what kids do off the field is unexpected in this day and age of over teaching along with everything else that goes in the educational world.  time for the days of parents and kids to take some ownership of their own actions but we are past that as a society.

If schools wanna practice after school why should they not be able to?

it has been a few years since my own kids went through but the organization called the tssaa does not allow it until a time period

i agree with you but the rules are in place because some coaches just do not know what time off is and that is apparent in the next town over

I watched an interesting video this morning, looks like our new coach is still playing by the college rules. Full blown practice and a good player got hurt smh. I guarantee you this video makes its way to TSSAA, I guess a few of the girls are mad about early morning practices and have filmed a few lol. #SEPTEMBERPRACTICE #CHRISTIANVALUES

our girls in franklin county have said all all year they have been practicing illegally.  but not surprisingly they would do that over there and with that coach

TSSAA rules are a bit over the top if you ask me. In the past. there was summer dead period and then a no practice period once schools starts. What's the point?

tell that to the other sports who follow the rules.  in just the past two weeks multiple injuries coming from one school in this area I live all because the new coach wants to practice in the mornings is it worth it

All schools are practicing basketball they can call it conditioning but it’s no different than practices in November. That is why we see fewer multi sport athletics coaches want kids to only play their sport

it is a shame these coaches cannot follow the rules and the administrators know it is happening and turn their head

I researched this a little this morning. Basketball can work with 3 players a day during off season.

the southern middle tennessee area might not know about this three player practice rule

  9. saw coffee county play this week and my lady rebels will have a tough time again this upcoming season have not seen Warren County or the eaglettes play.  did witness coffee beating Tullahoma by 30 points and was not impressed with the new hires one I recognized from Columbia who did not have a great record.  hoping We get to play the wild kittens I do think that is a win

has anyone seen warren county at camp?

This will be a good job for someone. Girls basketball in Lawrence County is big and this is a proud program that can do well if they get the right coach.  Talent is there and feeder programs in this county is strong.  They have 2 assistants that have had successful head coaching experience.  I hope they get it right because this community will support and follow this team

one of the two assistants will get the job

His record in college doesn't mean much. When he took over at Blackman, they weren't very good. Tullahoma is a good place to raise a family. Tullahoma will get better and they will play disciplined

so a record does not mean anything when you are able to go get your own kids to fit your system?   Blackman was not good because they were a new school and not full with all grade levels but after two years they got kids from other places who were zoned Blackman.
best of luck to the ladies and coach he will inherit an already disciplined team with a winning tradition the last seven years so I guess the college record will not follow him as you say

You don't hire a coach of Hibdon's caliber to maintain the status quo. Tullahoma will soon reap the benefits

i keep hearing this statement but the record at his last stop does not justify these comments.  below 500 record and it is not like tullahoma will have these high caliber players like Blackman does.  he picked tullahoma and the question is why and everyone does know he will not be there long

I was at the baseball game last night and a board member from Tullahoma said that a Webb assistant had applied and she was bringing her state MVP daughter with her, that didn't take long lol

I would find that hard to believe they would hire a former coach as the assistant when this former coach was fired for money reasons along with not being there an entire summer when she was the head coach. we love her in fc but she bounces around everywhere

Ok, that is what happened. Cody pissed off the wrong person by talking smack to the wrong kid. See it didn't know that. Once Zach left the Tullahoma news. The flow if info i had pretty much stopped. Now that Zach works for Tullahoma city schools, he says nothing. That 18 year old girl they hired to take Zach's place isn't verygood with info either.

With girls you have to keep your mouth shut. With boys you can say anything. Surprised Cody didn't know that. Since he coaches both.

granddaughter played at fc and talked to a player who lives here says that a couple girls were not happy about playing time so parents got involved with principal and the old coach did not want parent or principal involvement so resignation happened

  15. 9 hours ago, TtownReject said:

That is the exact problem at Tullahoma. Tullahoma goes to Florida, they have a great showing, parent gets pissed and 2 days later Cody is gone with the dreaded "I need to focus on my family" Which is PR speak for im not leaving on good terms or against my will.

The soccer team had a parent steal 11 thousand dollars from the boosters bank account. The woman got probation cause her daughter was the best player.

always been the problem over there but did not know about the soccer probation that is news. this new coach will be gone soon but from all the talk over here he seems like the best hire the wildkittens have ever made and certainly better than a middle school coaching hire but I agree with earlier post they will be searching again in a few years once a big time Murfreesboro job opens up and he can return there.

For someone who is from Franklin County, you seem to think your  an expert on Tullahoma.

lot of common acquaintances through softball volleyball and basketball with my son and  daughter and now granddaughter over the years

Despite the hear say , the coach was not run off, he resigned for family reasons.  I live in Tullahoma, and I know that is hear say. Our AD is John Olive, who I know, he is a  first class guy, and has made several good hires in baseball, football, and baseball. He will be hiring the girls basketball coach.  People are always spreading rumors about this and that, most of the time they have no idea of what  they're talking about. And it is usually from a fan of opposing team.

parents of the program said check with your high school principal before you make statements.  maybe the new coach will have better luck.

Typical Franklin County fan,  you have a lot of room to bash Tullahoma, when your own administration has been a mess as well for years.  How many coaches has Franklin County had in the last  few years? I guarantee FCHS, has had a lot more coached than Tullahoma, and when was the last time FCHS won a district championship.   Maybe you could keep kids in Franklin County, if they cleaned up there own mess.

we have had our fair share of issues that I will agree with and can not dispute.  but i will say we have one of our own who we have not told to get lost and she has not won a district championship as you mentioned but she works hard with a competitive team each year. no sense in running good young coaches off when it is already hard to find people who want to deal with such a tough profession.  if it is still posted then nobody has jumped off the page at those doing the hiring and anyone with any sense would do their homework before applying and try to find out why the previous coach in the program would leave. parents? administration?  I am happy to keep our kids at franklin county
