Gonna miss ya dude. Been a lot of good discussion on here the last few years.

Between old devil, Facts, Drew, QBClubPrez, the half dozen or so swarm posters and now you, the legion of Henry County faithful seem to be a dying breed on here.

Yes sir, I have enjoyed being this "Patriot Nation" guy not only on here but instagram as well. To be honest with what I was doing on IG, it just took up too much of my time. I love those players tho, they have heart, and you can't teach that. Thats something you either have or you don't. I feel very encouraged regardless of the outcome tomorrow night. We have the right kids for the next two years to get the job done. Who knows I may pop up here and there as bigred88. Its hard not to discuss Patriot football.

You and I have conversed a lot lol, so I kinda know your style. Best of luck to the Patriots. When they aren't playing my Tomcats, I always pull for them!

Yes sir! Good luck to the Tomcats. I think yall are going to have another outstanding season. Haywood will be playing for a championship this year mark my words!!

It’s hard to take much away from preseason scrimmages. Everything is vanilla and much of the starting lineup is in flux. But based on what I’ve seen so far, I don’t think our defense is up to this task quite yet.

I don’t know who #13 is y’all are referring to, but if Summit comes in with a full clip, I have them as the early favorite here.

13 is Brady Pierce. He is a stud WR. He just goes out and makes things happen. Heck of a ball player.

3-1 would be awesome. And you know we appreciate your support. He needs someone to brag on him because you know that’s not my style ha! The only time I do is when certain sports writers go out of their way to exclude some of them. GBR

Absolutely man! Will always brag on him as well as some other kids. They work their butts off!

It’s going to be a tough 3-4 in that stretch of games. I just hope folks remember that we play these games to prepare for November. We could easily schedule cupcakes and waltz through the season untouched, and be one of those teams that gets bounced in the first round. Obviously you want to win them all, but some of those situations and lessons learned will be valuable down the road. As far as the Mr. Football thing, we’ll see. He’d be the first to tell you he’d rather have a gold ball. I do feel like if he’s putting up good stats though, the team will be successful because of the balance it will bring on offense.. but we just want W’s and championships. GBR

Yessir Ryan is absolutely team first, he could care less about any individual award. I feel like he is going to put up big numbers in just about every game this year. I wouldnt be at all surprised if he throws 3 to 4 TDs per game. And some games he gets some rushing TDs. Kids a baller and I don't mind one bit bragging on that young man! I think he more than deserves it! We'll see but out of those first 4 games my personal hope is we can go at least 3-1. I know we are playing for November but if we could knock off 2 of those 3 beasts at the beginning of the year. My oh my!! Lets just see how it rolls! Either way we will be battle tested and ready for war come playoff time! GO BIG RED!!!

Considering it was MBA I think it’s very good. We didn’t look very flashy but it’s hard to look that way against great teams. Sure ready to see what the rest of the season holds

Yea hopefully we build on that scrimmage. Like @gr8tn08 mentioned 3 of the first 4 games are against some serious competition. Change of subject a little but I think  Mr. Ryan Damron is going to be in the conversation either this year or next for 5A Mr. Football.

Agreed. Pretty slow start for the Patriots, especially on defense, but I thought we held our own after we settled down.

Yeah me and another guy was talking about that. Would like to see us start a lot faster on both sides of the ball. But give credit to MBA too, they arent an easy team to go up against, they are very well coached also. Now next week against Haywood I hope to see a fast start!!

Looks nice, the players will enjoy this, especially at the end of the season when the field hasn't torn up. Patriot, do you (Henry Co.) have a local TV station that will carry your games? Would like to see some this year.

You are right about the field not being tore up at the end of the season, that will be a huge plus! There isnt any local TV station, it would be nice if we could live stream a few games though.

I would like for someone that has knowledge of the field installation give an update. It is being kept really quiet :popcorneater:

Just judging by what the field looks like now, looks to me like they are ready for the turf. I been keeping up with them each day. They laid the gravel and there was some kind of really fine material they put on it recently. It just looks to me like the field is ready for the turf guys now.
