  1. Central has 4 seniors. 3 of which started most of the year, along with 1 Junior and 1 sophomore starter most of the time. Central got taken to the woodshed tonight in second half...wow! Central was ahead by 4 with about 2 minutes left in 1st half and Nolensville goes on 8-0 run to finish half up 23-19. They continue the shutout in 2nd half until it is about 40-19. Obviously, it was over by then. Nolensville played great defense and Central could not hit an open shot when they had the opportunity. Hats off to Nolensville.
  2. I believe all the teams have looked terrible at one point. Not sure if that is because most of the teams are fairly evenly matched or just lack of motivation night in and night out. You all forget or maybe weren't paying attention, but Central had Nolensville and Marshall beat the first two games of district play and just let it slip away at end. They are not a bad team, and it should not be surprising that they are having some success.
  3. Looks like all the games have moved to Monday at 7pm. Semifinal moved to Wednesday.
  4. Robots with zero intensity and facial expressions are who I want on my team! If you look long enough at anyone, you will likely find something you don't like or are offended by! Let the kids play the game and maybe mix in a warning before dropping the T.
  5. The main point earlier was when do the refs start respecting the kids? They call fouls and then bait the kids into a reaction by refs staring the kids down! Make the call, inform the scorers' table and move on! 17-18 year old kids are not robots and have emotions tied up in the games. They are not always disrespecting refs. It is possible they are just upset with themselves. In most cases at this point of season, this may be the kids last chance to play for their school. Let'em play!
  6. The refs have a terrible habit of calling fouls and then staring the kids down to see if they have an emotional reaction, which sometimes results in a technical also. It is terrible. Call the foul and report it to the scorer's table and move on. Quit staring down the kids.
  7. How tough is it to beat someone 4 times? 3 has been done. Should be a good game, as they all tend to be in this district.
  8. More importantly...what are tie breakers in the regular season district standings? Could be several tie possibilities.
  9. CM had them both beat, but came up a little short in final minutes. Basically anyone can beat anyone on a given night out of those 3. Nolensville will win this one.
  10. I thought your observation on CM's defense was interesting. Looks to me like they are giving up about the exact same ppg as last season...about 47 per game. Not bad at all.
