I was at the baseball game last night and a board member from Tullahoma said that a Webb assistant had applied and she was bringing her state MVP daughter with her, that didn't take long lol

Coffee Co girls held Shelbyville to 1 fg the entire 1st half friday night. I was very impressed with the defensive effort. Shelbyville was like 19-20 from the line and still lost by 40. I'm anxious to see Coffee play at Rockvale friday night, looks like Rockvale has been playing well of late.

Lawrence County was also very very good in the late 90's. From 1980 to 1999 I believe Shelbyville won 16 district championships, Lawrence won 2 and Coffee and Franklin Co won 1 each. 16 out of 20 years is amazing. Wasn't very competitive most years. Shelbyville won 16 district championships by a combined 250 points lol. Lawrence Co won a State as well as Coffee Co. Franklin Co went to 2 State Tournaments in the early 80's as well. The year Coffee Co won the state they lost the region by 30+ points. Lincoln and Tullahoma rarely made it out of district in those days. Shelbyville won multiple region championships during that span as well. Franklin Co and Lawrence also won a couple of region championships. Coffee, Lincoln and Tullahoma did not win a region during that time. Sparta never won a State during that time, Oak Ridge was loaded and won a couple titles as well as Smyrna.

Shelbyville is in Quarantine. Lincoln will beat them by 30 or more when they play. I had Tullahoma beating Franklin Co by 50 and they won by 40 and I had Coffee beating Columbia by 16 and they won by 20. Franklin Co and Shelbyville are at the level Columbia was 2 years ago. The only game either will compete in is against each other. Tullahoma-Lincoln will be a great game friday night. I'm saying Tullahoma-41 Lincoln Co-45 Franklin Co-18 Coffee Co-71

What is everyone’s predicted order of finish. After 2 weeks it looks like Lawrence Co is playing very well and they are always well coached. Coffee is 4-0 and play’s Blackman and Riverdale next week with a huge win over White Co already on the resume. Columbia seems improved although the schedule they have played is beyond weak. Franklin Co and Shelbyville will be 7th and 8th for sure, very bad teams. Lincoln Co will be in the top 3 and I really thought Tullahoma would be in the mix but I saw where they gave up 90 in one game. I still say they end up 4th over Columbia just on coaching. Just happy we are getting to watch some ball.

Dekalb had not won a district game in 10 years when Coach was hired. 0 wins in 10 years and was even featured on the cover of the Tennessean. So 18 wins in 7 years after 0 wins in 10 years was phenomenal. 2 region appearances in 7 years at Dekalb which it had been 20 years without a region appearance before Cope. They were 22-257 with the 5 coaches before he arrived. So hard to even fathom that a team could be that bad. Columbia has been beyond pitiful but they have won a couple games in 3 years. Can’t imagine a team losing 137 district games and a first year coach taking that team to a region semi-final. That is so amazing.

Blackman got upset and ended up in Coffee Co bracket or Coffee would have been in Substate as well. Blackman beat Coffee Co in a close game, they beat Tullahoma by 40 in the region finals. Coffee has played Blackman, Riverdale, White Co, Cookeville, Stewart’s Creek, Oakland, Baylor, Tullahoma and is 15-6 against those teams. Next season they have Riverdale, Blackmon, Baylor and White Co on the schedule again. It is easy to sit back and talk after the fact but I guarantee you each team and coach has tried for the last 2 years to beat Coffee in 8-aaa and they just can’t find a way. Lol if Tennessee wins the SEC and loses it’s bowl game next year they will be on cloud 9!!!!

Coffee Co returns their leading 3 scorers including back to back MVP in Vinson. Gannon, Reel and Fulks will all 3 be solid this year as well. The 4 girls that quit scored 76 points between them last season lol. And btw those asst coaches and favorites have not lost a district game the past 2 seasons. Vinson has not lost a regular season district game since her Freshman season and has never lost a district game at home, pretty amazing. Tullahoma, Lawrence and Lincoln will be 2nd-4th, Columbia will be 5th and Franklin Co and Shelbyville will be bad very very bad. Stop wishing and giving me wannabe scenarios - Fact is Coffee Co is 28-1 against Lincoln,Lawrence,Tullahoma and Columbia the past 3 seasons 28-1,28-1,28-1. Truly remarkable and almost laughable at how easy it has been. In those 29 games Coffee Co has outscored the other 4 teams by over 600 points. That is an average district winning margin of 20 points per game.

Jamie you are correct, I love this town and I love our kids. 100% of my frustration is with the coach. We definitely have the talent to compete for a district championship and we never make it out of districts, heck last year we didn’t even make the tournament, we got blasted 13-1 in the play in game. Volleyball, girls basketball, boys basketball and softball have all won multiple district championships. It just blows my mind that baseball can’t compete on the same level as these sports. Trust the process you said it all when you said you aren’t from here. I am and my kids are and they have told me repeatedly that Martin never teaches class and the few times he is in the gym he is sitting in a chair drinking a sun drop on his cell phone. So if this is doing things the correct way then you my friend are insane. I brought my son lunch last week and Martin was on the baseball field on his phone drinking a sun drop at 10am. My daughter is suppose to be in his class at 10am. WHO IS WATCHING MY KID!!!!!!!! And as far as ever kid gets a trophy mentality goes, no worries because the loser of the play in game don’t get a trophy.

Red Raiders fall to 0-2, at least the number of wins equal the number of days Martin has taught this week. Gonna be a long year again. I didn’t miss a single game of my sons basketball season but I did not attend tonight and I won’t attend another game and watch this circus!!!

0-1 start for the home team. We threw the ball all over the field and Martin called in sick today lol, Softball wins 20+ per year and their coach never misses school. Chase Jones please please please come home!!!!!!!

Coffee Co has only 1 assistant back from last year. 3 new assistants have joined the staff this year. They have won back 2 back district championships and have been the only district team to win a region game in 5 years. I'm pretty sure they have won 17 straight regular season district games, that is amazing btw. My son plays baseball and we didnt even make the district tournament last year lol and i was at a football game where we lost 80-6 to an Oakalnd team that our girl's basketball team beat last year. I'm so tired of everyone saying we can't beat the murfreesboro teams. Our lady raiders basketball team is 6-2 the last 3 years against district 7-aaa. So keep bashing EagleOldEyes and we will keep winning. As a proud Alumni i think we have a great staff, a great school and great players, so pull up your pants, lose some weight and keep trying to find another job.

Are you sure these are correct? I graduated from CCHS IN 84 and still follow sports at both schools. I'm pretty sure tullahoma is better than 1-8 the last 4 years against Coffee.

After the 13-1 debacle in the district tournament i heard 2 seniors after the game say thank goodness this is over. Most seniors when they play their last game ever are tore up and sad that it is over. Our program needs major change and by what my daughter says it would help our PE program. She told her mom last night that Coach Martin has not taught one single day this semester. She says the entire class lays in the hallway all class. How does this happen. This was not allowed in my era, Coach Rusty would have taken care of business in class and on the field.

I agree 110%, my daughter said she and the rest of her class set in the hallway for an hour this morning waiting on Martin to show up to school. If I was dead last and didn’t make the district tournament I think I might get to school on time. 13-1 Tullahoma wow that’s so bad

So sad, my daughter told me today that she had had pe all year and Martin is late for class everyday and leaves before the bell rings!!! Don’t make the district tournament and doesn’t teach class INTEGRITY at its finest smh

Coffee County is in the Play in game, we might not even make the district tournament. 7th out of 7, worst season i can ever remember. At least softball is good.

My daughter has the coach in class and said he goes to the baseball field every day and that a sub watches them. I think the football coach left school for another job. Even though my Red Raiders are last at least our field looks nice lol #mowerworks

Looks like we are in the play in game. Such a bad district and we are dead last. I saw where we had a kid sign with Louisville so i know we have some talent. I've been to 4 home games and we look so dysfunctional in the dugout. Maybe we can work it out in the tournament. When i played we had a huge following and now it seems like baseball has been forgotten. It's been 4 years since anyone even commented on 8AAA baseball lol

I think the district will be much more competitive next season. We will def miss Vaughn and Morgan and Lincoln County and Tullahoma return all 5 starters.
