  1. Bearden can't stop the run. Farragut ran the ball against them with an 8th string running back that isn't even a RB. QB only has eyes for #1 seldom looks for any other receiver. It is the playoffs so anything can happen but if Farragut can run against them ANYBODY can. The only time they made any plays on offense against Farragut where busted plays that the QB just threw the ball up before getting sacked and against Farragut's very bad DBs they would result in a big play. Other than a couple of those plays Bearden couldn't move the ball.
  2. Bearden gets safety, fumbles kick, Farragut returns fumble for TD. Or Bearden retrurns kick for 30 yards, throws a pick 6 on next play. Or a meteor crashes onto the field near a player, that player now has super powers and runs for 5 TDs and then makes every tackle on defense to ensure a win for his team. Is that Butterfly effect? No one has the correct angle to see if either team should've had a safety.
  3. Both teams appeared to get a safety but if you re watch it you will see that the Farragut player at least got the ball out of the end zone bearden was a foot short. I travel a lot on Mondays and kill time re watching the game on Monday mornings. That game was evenly called. I thought Farragut did a good job running the ball and they coaches obviously spent time watching film to know what would beat Bearden. The DBs still played terrible. If Bearden's QB could read a defense he could've had a field day. I liked the adjustments at LB and letting #8 run the ball.
  4. This game is a toss up between 2 below average teams. Last year Farragut got outcoached by Bearden. For some reason Farragut makes a game plan and sticks to it and never makes adjustments. DB ran the ball straight down Farragut's throat and Farragut did nothing to stop it. I know Farragut has a lot of injuries but its up to the coaches to come up with a game plan or change that game plan when it doesn't work. Farragut's line and DBs have been awful most of the year and I think some of that can be fixed with the right coaching. Farragut has a whole sideline full of coaches but cant seem to get the players on and off the field correctly for special teams. They just seem very disorganized and seem to be doing more spectating than coaching. How many games this year is Farragut going to have momentum only to fumble punt or turnover in general and the team just deflates?? I've watched Farragut for a while and this year has made me realize that Farragut has been pretty good the past few years and even won a state title despite having a below average coaching staff. In the past Farragut has had some stand out players that made their coaching job easy. This year and the next few years are going to be hard to watch and it will show what type of coaches Farragut has. As far as this weeks game I honestly don't know what to expect. If the line kind of blocks and QB has a little time he can pick Bearden apart but the receivers also have to catch the ball and hold onto it. If the they move #8 around and maybe put him in at MLB so that the offense can't run away from him and DBs learn how to cover a receiver and make an open field tackle then Farragut can win. With this group who knows???????
  5. Defense can keep Farragut in the game with the right personnel on the field. #20 and #5 need more reps on defense and #1 HAS to be on the field on crucial downs. Farragut has to start calling plays to get into a rhythm on offense. They don't have the quality of RB or the size of linemen they have been used to so they have to find a scheme that works. Farragut has one of the best QBs in East TN but the receivers are having a hard time catching the ball. Farragut should win this game but I don't feel 100% confident about it. As far as last years game. Oak Ridge did have some drops but if you remember momentum was greatly in Farragut's favor after a Farragut score and then Farragut got the ball back again and easily drove down the field and was about to score again when a would be TD pass hit our receiver right in the hands in the end zone and it bounced directly into the OR db's hands and he easily returned it for a pick 6. OR was rolling over until that play.
  6. How good is OR at returning punts that get punted from the OR 30, CAUSE Farragut has been known to punt from there especially in the 4th quarter and they are behind. Farragut QB seems like he has been sacked more in 2 games then the whole season last year. Hopefully during the off week the coaches came up with a better offense than trying to run dive after dive with a 170 pound RB and not very physical line. They have to call plays that suit the players they have. Defense is pretty solid but #20 needs to get more reps on defense and they need to stop subbing in #16 for #1 on big plays. I watched to replay of the west game this morning while waiting on my flight and it still surprises my how often they sub #16 in on big plays #1 is obviously bigger, faster and stronger. I also like the 2 back set to help blocking. What good is it having all those receivers when the QB doesn't have time to throw it to them? This game could go either way.
  7. I have had to travel a lot lately during the week and weekends. I am so thankful for Farragut's video streaming. I watched this morning on my laptop. It's easy to jump on the O line but #4 for West was a 1 man show on defense. Not sure why Farragut didn't go with 2 backs just to help pick him up. I agree that the muffed punt changed momentum but I don't recall seeing a Farragut team that drops so many passes. I also don't understand punting the ball when you are down with under 3 minutes to play. The Knoxville area 5A schools are going to be interesting to watch this season. West being 2-0 is going to make some noise.
  8. Must not be a real big fan cause you spelled his name wrong.
  9. No hate just truth. I gave you all the stats you needed. Oh, I forgot about Oak Ridge. Once Oak Ridge gets in sync they could probably beat Central.
  10. Poll isn't even valid until more games are played. I can't speak about the teams not around Knoxville but South Doyle is a lot better than central and I think Powell could possibly beat Central.
  11. I went to the west game last year and if my memory is correct they weren't a very disciplined team. They argued with the coaches a lot and it seemed like on one series they had so many penalties they ended up in a 4th and 60 plus yards situation. I watched the Bradley Central game yesterday on my laptop at the airport. Defense flew to the ball well but didn't finish once they got to the ball carrier. Defense really struggles open field tackling. #1 needs to be on the field more. Luckily the BC QB was not a very accurate passer. If he plays on Saturday it will be something other than QB. It seemed like it really took Farragut a while to get in sync on offense. Farragut seems to have found a RB but they are going to have to get on sync in the passing game. The QB didn't look like he has in the past but he also isn't surrounded by the big playmakers he's had the past couple of years. He did come out in the 2nd half and make some impressive throws so hopefully they are hitting on all cylinders to start the west game. Farragut has been spoiled the past few years by never having to worry about covering kickoffs. With the kicker transfer, the days of kicking into the end zone appear to be over. Coaches need to revisit the kick off coverage team and not use it as a chance to let kids get playing time.
  12. Your come back is the equivalent of you saying "I know you are but what am I" but I wouldn't expect a good comeback from someone like you. Weak mind and body.
  13. Especially if you are in the pool because there is a good chance it will be full of pee and chicken $hit.
  14. Nope, still here. Just staying out of the shallow end of the gene pool.
