Hey Waco somebody forgot to tell Mac Mcclung he wasn't supposed to win back 2 back nba slam dunk championship since Gate City is a small school

To Waco point it's not about the enrollment it's about sed talent at the school. Look up John Marshall a small 2a school in VA with 741 students finished as national champions last year, they're currently ranked 32nd in the nation with 3 losses to other national ranked teams by 6pts or less. George Wythe a 1a school in VA with 461 kids beat Dorman SC with 3700 students in the Arby's Classic, Dorman won state last year in SC, then George Wythe turned around and lost by 1 to Mentor OH with 2600 students. I don’t have a clue who's going to win state in basketball in TN private or public but I'm sure it'll be a school with 2000 kids an John Marshall with 741 will have a running clock against whoever that team is, like Waco said it's not about the number it's about the talent, no matter how many kids you have, you can only have 5 on the court at a time with 1 ball. Then on the football side of it Alcoa with around 600 kids are somewhere in the top 5 public schools every year

I forgot to mention to you that George Wythe is really good, what's scary about this GW team is they got 13 juniors on the team, another small VA team Radford if they were in the Arby's they wouldn't win it but they would do good

I'm not 100% sure they are but I hope so, I'd love to see them in person, last year we got beat in the quarterfinals by 4 to Floyd County and then Floyd County lost to Radford in the semi's in OT so we were a couple bounces last year from going up to Richmond getting beat like a drum. When we lost to Floyd County last year the kids came out the locker room red eyes from crying an I couldn't understand why because we already knew nobody has a chance in 2a, I didn't look at it from this point of view in talking to the kids afterwards they wanted John Marshall cause the kids from JM where going places and they wanted to later on in life to say that they played against such an such

TribalEmpire 2a in Virginia is the biggest waste of time ever, all you're doing is fighting to get throttle by 60 in the state championship game by John Marshall, John Marshall finished #1 in the nation last year, this season they were in the preseason top 10 but I did see someone out of Charlotte NC already beat them this year. Their coach Ty White got national coach of the year last season and he's big time in the AAU circuit so he recruits all these D1 players to John Marshall just to win a 2a title, just off of last year's team they had 6-8 kids going D1, they're sponsor by Adidas and they pay for them to travel everywhere to play other national rank teams and then they have to play there conference 2a games, you don't need 8 guys going D1 in 2a va on the same team all you need is 1, they beat Radford in the state championship game last year 91-34

I believe it's George Wythe and that tournament is annoying, it's set-up like Rucker Park basketball someone is on the microphone talking through the whole game, it's there to try to give the kids more exposure for college and BALLISLIFE is there with their film crew filming trying to help out

Waco your crew will have a easy 25pt or so win against us today. Yes we're are coming to try to win but it's not realistic, what I do hope from this game is yall make us better, we are far from being the best team yall will play but we are very athletic so hopefully we can make yall better as well on this young season. I'm a believer now, from the beginning I didn't put any stock into Bc could win region 2, I was proved wrong along with several others, so whether they can be as good as this past team or not the problem is yall are going to keep running into this team

MTF yall better slow down or taxes is about to go up in the community, somebody has to pay for the extra trophy cases. As for the game hats off to Oakland and Bc for giving us what we wanted, this was build from the beginning of the season, I personally eye rolled at first cause them guys from 825 run region 1 and 2 and Bc proved me wrong, Boo is better than advertised, Martin, Rodgers and tito are legit, Bc shouldn't hang their heads, most knew it was going to take a herculean effort to take down Goliath. From my understanding this was the best year for now to take out Oakland, Bc announcers said this team was basically juniors and sophomores

I wished I would have started this topic earlier cause the game we've been waiting on is upon us, we don't have too time to discuss this, Oakland vs Bc is this the most anticipated game in TN history, from a broader POV I say yes, I think Oakland vs Lipscomb in '21 could match this the best private vs the best public that year, the only reason I give this the nod Oakland vs Lipscomb was kind of last minute due to covid, this game has been building all season. Only probably for the tri cities folks my most anticipated game was Greeneville vs Ac in '18, after they played in '17 I think soon after they already started a tread for Greeneville vs Ac for the next season, there was multiple threads an I believe one thread reached over 200 pages, it was so much trash talking for that game, Oakland/Bc is my #2

I just think for our area the tri cities when Db is good it makes high school football much better, the atmosphere, double decker stands is full, maybe some are there for the band but still it's nothing like being at j Fred stadium on Friday nights. If you go watch the documentary they did on Alcoa (4th and forever) one of the Alcoa fan was taken in the stadium and said are you sure this isn't a college stadium, that sums it up

What's the radio station for this game, I listen to the games on the tune-in app and for a couple years wgns covered the Oakland games but the past couple years I haven't been able to listen to an Oakland game on wgns

I'm not saying he's equal to Boo Carter but Noah Vaughn was special too, injuries just derailed him. Anytime he touched it he was a threat to take it to the house

Maryville basketball team had a great chance at winning state back in '20 with Joe Anderson, Aj Davis and Markel Fortenberry that team was loaded, then Covid happened and canceled State. Whatever happened to Joe Anderson did he go d1 for basketball

Blaze for 6a there's 2 teams that's holding the state hostage Oakland and Maryville. So the Memphis area teams can say this is the best it's going to get cause we're not beating Oakland and the 2 knoxville teams can say the same because we're not beating Maryville, this is the first year in forever that 6a is wide open. From '17 to '20 when the 2 knoxville teams were in db conference db went 7-2 against Bearden and Farragut and would have faced Oakland some of those years had it not been for Maryville. This was the 1st year that realistically db would maybe had a chance at beating Maryville, still wouldn't matter because Bearden is loaded this year For 5a your trailblazer were just a year too early, last season West team probably the best team they ever had, if yall could have that team from last year I could see a semi game or maybe a state championship game, this West and Powell team are beatable. For TN High they're always going to suffer from living in a small town that you have the inner city kids split into 2 high schools. Tn high best player this year #1 Donnie Thomas he's a transfer from VA High had they not had him they wouldn't even won some of the games they did. Tn high will always need the athletes from VA high and VA high will always need the meat and potatoes guys from Tn High.

Maryville would beat Sh 10 out of 10, Sh stopped Maryville on their 1st possession, then Sh had 4th and 4 at the 50 instead of trying to pin Maryville deep Carter elected to go for it, so they put #6 in to run the qb keeper like they kept doing against yall last week, Carter should have known Maryville did their homework and knew he wasn't a threat to pass so of course they sniffed that play out and it was down hill from there on out, I'm a neutral fan I just wanted to see a good game to me it looked like Carter was throwing in the towel
