  1. He singed with Bethel. It all worked out for him.
  2. Well that is optimistic of you. I don't see that happening though. Waverly has a lot coming back and I am betting Boldin has a few tricks up his sleeve.
  3. No kidding. They make it sound like he is the worst guy ever in a non football context.
  4. Waverly was flat out terrible last night. If what I am hearing about 1 hour long practices is true, we should have lost by more. Doesn’t sound like the boys prepared like you would think for a playoff game. Pretty sad really. Either it was terrible coaching or overlooking an opponent. On to the hardwood for Wavo
  5. Poor little fella got his feelings hurt. We will see.
  6. This has to be one of the funniest thing I’ve seen posted on this site. You do realize this team, this senior class, has been to the semis twice. Both times being beat by the state championship winning Trenton Peabody. The team had the longest winning streak in the state until a few weeks ago. They have won three AA state championships in a row. I have my doubts about a Waverly win but there is ZERO chance that this team is the best we have played In 5+ years. You know nothing about us. Talk about how good you are but making ignorant comments about who we have played makes you look foolish. I don’t care if you are foolish but I do care about my team. You best believe win or lose, waverly is about to slap bust y’all city boys in the mouth and make you like it. 44 will lead that charge by the way.
  7. We are pretty humble. Well trollin likes to likes to kick the dog every now and then but for the most part, waverly people are pretty humble. It’s going to be a fun game for sure. We a little to sloppy to not be humble.
  8. You know what the root word of cocky is?
  9. Sounds like a miserable person with no one to love him
  10. You’re a tool. Been a tool in prior post and still a tool.
  11. The talent is there but I will go out on a limb and say the difference this year over those others is coaching. I think Coach Wall is the best defensive coach we have had. He has the team bought in and everyone does their job. Time will tell if it’s the best defense but it certainly is the best coached. Our line backers are absolute studs. Still a whole lot of ball to play.
  12. @TripleO went away. He realized you just can't make stuff up anymore. 5 didn't do anything until JV came into the game.
  13. He does seem to struggle some with reads. Too often he make bad down field reads and forces the ball rather than moving on to the next receiver. I agree he seems to be stat hunting. Sooner or later his teammates will get tired of it and I'm afraid it will be one of the possible demises of this team. He and his brother are already the favored sons of the staff and sooner or later the kids that have played together their whole lives will stop trying as hard. That is something you must watch with transfers coach pets.
  14. you should go back and watch the game. Another missed tackle, by him, for a TD at the 48:38. I am skipping around and finding play after play of failure. The kid was all talk and one TD on JV on a team that has barely practiced. He didn't lock a thing. He needs to lock his jaw and get some work in to make his team better.
  15. the news democrat video feed on Facebook at the 31 minute mark shows 5 taking a ride on our running back for about 10 yards then the next play he missed a tackle for a TD. The kid is not good. He didn't lock down anything. We did what we wanted after the first drive.
  16. 5 definitely had something hurt but it wasnt a knee. I was about to go get him some Mydol for all the whining he did all game. That kid has a bright future in something other than life.
  17. If I’m not mistaken, this senior class is the last of the McConnell era as WCHS. I’m sure they will be happy to take him to the woodshed one last time.
  18. No, they are lighten up on the quarantining of students and do away with the rule that if a player gets it, they shut down.
  19. Brooks is still there. All three safeties, two strong and free, one line backer and another that played a ton. One transfer LB and one D end from last year I believe. I may be missing someone. I think both sides of the ball are strong. We have a lot of experience there. The line on both sides seems to be the lesser experienced. I’m optimistic if we don’t get beat by the virus. I think the virus may beat all of us this year.
