  1. After listening to sportsguy22, I was researching shelbyville and they had strong teams in 2013 and 2014 then had a let down with strong talent in 2015...was this due to weak coaching,? The talent was supposed to be there but they lost in the first round...now it looks like Palmer wasn't there. Was he the missing link or was there another reason?
  2. So what is your research? You obviously know. You have made posts on threads that are against him so what is his crimes? Many communities need to know. If you were only concerned about shelbyville, then why did you post on the whitwell thread? I ask because I care about our town...
  3. I agree, earlier on this thread you said you had no beef with him but glad he was gone. Then you went on the whitwell thread and said the same unclear reply...so that means you are not concerned about shelbyville but rather anywhere palmer may land...I care because he could make a difference in my son's life but if he is really bad, then I wanna know. So step up or shut up on him...
  4. I am curious why you won't say anything and yet you posted on the 1A site about him and the whitwell job and on here as well. Did he do you wrong? Because if you're on a social crusade I would think you would be very clear what he did and put your name with it... parents need to know if their coach is a bad person. Coaches are huge mentors.
  5. Well palmer met with them today and I think his situation in shelbyville is in no way comparable to malone's. TM had issues with coaches, parents, admin, athletes, local businesses and so one situation was the grounds for his dismissal. If the admin wants to get back to winning then he may be a good choice. I've heard even the big rival reached out to him about a job in the valley.
  6. Seemed like the previous coach had lots of character but got canned in favor of a leader who has proven he can win... JP seems like he can do that better than the guy tiger fan had mentioned.
  7. Just learned Justin Palmer is applying for the job and his father will be helping him... as the father of a middle school kid deciding between valley schools, I wonder if the admin is bright enough to see the potential. If not its ok... the word is SP knows the kid has talent. Maybe they'll be pirates next year... the drive may be longer and we look better in red but coaching matters and this is a proven winner...not CB... 8. I did hear that they are getting applications from some 5A coaches. If they go down that road, captain victory may be in trouble as are those guys in the nation.... however, I'm betting on them hiring the local guy who was fired 2 years ago....same ole whitwell..lol
  9. I was wondering, didnt this same guy coach at Marion when the vandalism scandal happened? Still wondering why he was fired 2 years ago from Whitwell?
  10. Does anyone there know what this guy did that led to his firing 2 seasons ago and why the super says he is not eligible for consideration? Just wondering if it was something like speeding, no tags or something horrible like abuse of a child or wife...
