When was it was determined that tickets were going to be made available to the public?

Please realize that TSSAA stated that NO tickets would be sold to the public. Ticketing No tickets will be sold to the public. TSSAA Championship Event Cards, TACA cards, TSSAA ID cards and TMSAA ID cards will not be accepted.

Thank you. If we had tickets there would be no discussion. I was on both TSSAA and GoFan on Thursday and there was no mention of a deadline.

This sounds like the best solution. Hopefully TSSAA follows this path which would meet their goal that every wrestler gets two tickets.

Several schools have been impacted. TSSAA was not transparent about the process. They handled it ineffectively and it has caused this mess. If they had been transparent the information including the deadline would have been published on their website and to be even more transparent on GoFan. Furthermore, the whole 12:00 deadline was not on the Tuesday email which I got forwarded on late Friday after the fact. So for a tournament that was scheduled late and postponed why would they impose such an artificial deadline at all and poorly communicate the info?

No, I wasn’t and none of our qualifiers (6) did either. At this point I would think a lot others did not. Why did TSSAA not communicate this to the parents and why did they open it up to the general public without checking with wrestling parents? They caused this whole nightmare with their arbitrary, undisclosed process. Sorry for rant but I’m fed up with incompetent bureaucrats masquerading as leaders.

What a nightmare? I went to Gofan to buy tickets on Thursday. I had no idea about the behind the scenes scheme that Tssaa had concocted. I relied solely on their website statement - Competition will be taking place in the main exhibit hall (A,B,C,D) of the Chattanooga Convention Center. Admission is $12 per day and each participating school will be allocated two tickets per qualifier. All tickets must be purchased in advance online using GoFan. The event was not available on Thursday but there was no statement about how to get your tickets. Yeah our coach deserves a share of the blame but the biggest blame is squarely on TSSAA. They’ve known about this event for a while. Why the last minute emailing and Zoom that excluded the main people impacted not being involved? Such a cluster with no regard for parents!

I’m fairly new to wrestling. Can someone here shine some light on how seeds for Region tournaments are determined?
