  1. Thanks for sharing, but it looks like the videos don’t stay on demand. It must only be up when they’re live.
  2. Just catching up. Sounds like this was one heck of a game. Hats off to Henry County for a great season. Making it to the quarterfinals is still a successful year. Not to mention it would appear you lost to a really quality team and left it all on the field. That’s all you can ask for this time of year. Page is in for a big challenge next week. It appears that Southwind will be the best team Page has faced yet. Props to them for making it this far. They are really good. Can’t wait for next Friday! By any chance does anyone know if there is somewhere you can find this game on demand? Would love to go back and watch it.
  3. I’m starting to get nervous about this game too. The boys have rolled in every game recently and haven’t had to win a close a game. If centennial keeps it close it could make it tough, but I think the patriots are mentally touchy to handle anything you throw at em, I tell you what! Go page go!
  4. Wow! This seems like one heck of a matchup, I tell you what. The way it should be this late in the playoffs. There’s so many great games going on in 5A that we need a feature where you can watch them all at the same time. Good luck! These two QBs may make this one a shoot out.
  5. Should be another great game between these two. Wish I lived in Knoxville Friday. 5A is absolutely loaded this year. Crazy how many great quarter finals/match ups will be going on across the state. Can’t wait to see who punches their ticket to the semis and quite possibly the state title game because this game may be for that too knowing how good they both are.
  6. This is the game of the year in Tennessee, I tell you what. Makes me want to take off work and drive dang ole north for the weekend. The Patriots have been playing complimentary football and they are really on a hot streak these last few weeks. The last time these two played I watched it on that NFHS app and Page absolutely controlled that game. I’m curious to see how Centennial will respond this time. I hear they didn’t take Page serious last time and learned the hard way. Can’t wait for the rematch.
  7. This was one heck of a game by the Patriots. I thought Tullahoma’s defense and special teams would keep them in the game, but what I learned is that Page is better then we’re giving them credit for. This was an incredible game in all three phases. Credit to Coach Rathbone and the staff. It sounds like those kids were totally locked in mentally and always knew what to do and how to do it. The fighting patriots are a well coached team, I tell you what.
  8. Can’t believe it’s already here again. Sure came fast, but excited it here. Time to play the first regular season. Excited to see this edition of the Patriots. I know they’re excited for the challenge and to play some football again. Coach Rathbone has done an incredible job leading this program and it’s been a fun time the last few years. It’s going to be fun to see how this years does, and I know he and still will have those boys ready to play. Does anyone know anything about Giles? They were really good last year. Did they lose a lot of starters?
  9. I’m really excited about this region. It has a lot of fun matchups and it’s great that a lot of rivalries will get started again. I don’t know much about some of the current teams, but just know of them from previously being in a region with Page at different points the last 5-10 years. Tullahoma seems like the favorite right now and I understand why. Lawrence County, Lincoln County, and Franklin County should be competitive. I really hope Spring Hill is able to find a way to get it going cause I like everyone in that program and want to see them turn it around. Im most intrigued by Columbia and Shelbyville. Shelbyville always has a decent amount of talent. It’s just been a tough few years through all the transition since Palmer left. Their coach in his second season and I’m that continuity will help. I heard they played well against Page in a scrimmage a couple weeks ago. Columbia has a new coach, but coach Goff knows that program well and was around during a special time in that program. He will understand how to connect with the kids at Central because of his familiarity. They always have talent and I’m sure those kids will play for him. Good luck to all the teams on a great and healthy season! Hopefully see some of you in the playoffs!
  10. Hate that for Franklin County, but props to him for doing what he feels is best for him and his career. It probably stinks for him to mess up his state pension years by going into the private sector, but he’s probably being paid well and that’s a heck of a head coach to go work for. I’m sure he’ll end up back in public one day.
  11. If the names I'm hearing are true, Dyson is pulling out all the stops. Some unexpected names for sure.
  12. I’ve heard they adjusted the grading scale this past year, so that may change the academic challenges a little bit.
  13. Williamson County is a great school system and they are making efforts to improve the athletic facilities every year. I don’t know Dyson but I bet he would be a great guy to work for. Centennial is dropping down to 5A which is not as deep as 6A. I think this job will attract some good candidates that fit the kind of job it is.
  14. I think Kriesky will do a good job. He’ll bring toughness, discipline, and good energy to the program. He will absolutely pour everything he has into the program and the kids. I bet he’s in it for the long haul too. Win loss record doesn’t tell the whole story. He’s going to do everything the right way too. I don’t know the ins and outs at Blackman and I’m not going to pretend to talk that much about them, but I’m confident Blackman has more talent then Centennial year in and year out. Kriesky will have more resources at Blackman too. Give him some time and I bet he’ll do a good job. Best of luck.
  15. The biggest thing for me is it seems like the pressure to win and win more quickly will be higher Blackman then at any of their current positions. In my opinion, even with Page and Nolensville, the new 5A Centennial is dropping down to is more manageable then the all Williamson region and 6A. The pathway to state in the playoffs is also traditionally weakest then 6A. I forgot Green Hill is moving up to 6A. That changes my opinion a little bit with him. I think he has the leadership qualities to do the job and be successful at Blackman if he wanted the challenge. Cane Ridge has an easier region in the regular season and the pathway to state is easier than it would be at Blackman. Having said all of that, Blackman also provides some resources some of these other schools don’t. I don’t think any of these guys are wrong for wanting the job and I think they would all do a really good job. I was just surprised.
  16. I think when looking at their current situations, vs. going into that region and competing against Creasy. I think you could make the argument that a couple of those guys have an easier pathway to a state championship at their current schools. However, they may want the challenge and pressure that comes with being at a place like Blackman. Which is respectable.
  17. Wow! All interesting names, but surprised by a couple of them. Not that they would do a bad job, just that they would want to coach at Blackman.
  18. Thank you. I heard awhile ago that the website moved to a new home to keep the database going, but I never was able to find it.
  19. This is some good stuff here. Look forward to seeing if it shakes out this way.
  20. That's the only reason I suggested those two coaches. To me, they both elevated the programs they are around. Even still, there is definitely more to the story and the other stuff still may make it hard for Palmer to get hired at a school like Blackman.
  21. If I am Blackman, I'd be happy with several of these guys. I am sure they are going all out for this hire.
  22. Yeah. I am the same way. Osteen would be a great head coach at almost any school, which means my guess is he has a really good thing at Marshall County that he just does not want to walk away from. Can't blame him for that.
  23. Agree with this. Nissan Stadium might be a good location, but I just can't wrap my head around playing the state championships at a huge stadium where it would be really empty. Is the high cost of money why Murfreesboro doesn't try to get the football title games anymore? It's been years and I still hate not seeing those games being played there.
  24. Since the topic moved this direction anyway, I had a thought as well. When everyone talks about all the transfers and talent Oakland has, I don't think enough credit is given to Creasy for the way he manages personnel. Nowadays, kids are always looking for an excuse to transfer if they think they are a super star and should be getting more playing time. Creasy seems like he manages that rosters, coaches up all the players, and keeps everyone focused on a common goal as well as anyone we've seen in recent memory. I can't even imagine what it's like to coach somewhere that has multiple RB's, DB's, etc. that all deserve snaps and playing time. As for Rutherford county as whole, I've always assumed it's like Williamson County in the sense that talent is all over the county and it just cycles around who the top dog is to a certain extent. Over the last 20 years, several of the Williamson County schools have competed for championships or had the ability too. Rutherford County has been the same with Smyrna, Blackman, Riverdale, Oakland, etc. all being in a position to be really good or at different times a particular one was the best of the best. Seems like the right head coach could take any of these schools to a high level. As for the original topic, wonder if Palmer or Osteen is a candidate. I think they would do a great job at Blackman, but also wouldn't blame them for being happy where they are. Gonna be fun to see who they hire.
  25. This is interesting, because on some level I think it's better that they want to hire a coach that is different schematically then Creasy at Oakland, but I still think I would want someone this time whose more focused on the run game and playing great defense. Those seem to be what would help Blackman take the next steps. Just my opinion. Can't wait to see where this search goes.
