  1. Jackson County travels up the mountain to take on their little brother, Red Boiling Springs. People want to consider this a rivalry, but Jackson County beats the Bulldogs so many times that it can't be considered a real rivalry. Football, basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, it doesn't matter. JC literally owns Red Boiling Springs High School. Jackson County had a minor setback against Westmoreland, but I think they may have lost the game on purpose. That loss throws everyone off their trail and will see them as weak. The devils love playing underdog. Jackson County has people exactly where they want them. By the time Trousdale comes up on the schedule, the Devils will be running full steam ahead. This football team is a well oiled machine, and I would still bet on them to make it to Tucker Stadium by the time the TSSAA Bowl comes around.
  2. Guess where Jacob learned every single thing that he knows about the game of football. That's right, Sean Loftis. Loftis has a coaching tree that's as extensive as Saban's. That just goes to show you how good he really is. Clay needs to be thanking the Good Lord above that they won't see these Devils on the gridiron. Dawgs would be begging for Ashlock back after the Devils' DLine punished the QB.
  3. After speaking with Coach Loftis, Westmoreland will be lucky to leave Gainesboro with a loss that's within 30 points. After analyzing film, I'm afraid that Westmoreland will lose so much morale that they might just end their season tomorrow night on Mack Draper Field. Jackson County is going to dismantle the Eagles both physically and mentally. Sean is so good at getting into the minds of his opponents that Westmoreland's coach will be driven insane by night's end. Burris is going to pass, Robbins is going to run, and the hard nosed defense is going to make plays. Water is wet. All of these things are literal guarantees. Devils 54 Eagles 10 (the ten points will be on JC's backups)
  4. We could have the Alabama Crimson Tide on the schedule, and I still wouldn't be much less confident. We would have the playmakers to stop Sark's offense. Y'all might not believe me, but this team is special. They have the "it" factor that I have seen in a few of the Alcoa, Knox Catholic, and Maryville teams of the past few seasons. They are not looking past anyone simply because they are focused. West Moreland has their full attention.
  5. You seem to be a smart man. We finally got to see JC's offense with a dry football and boy was it glorious. Robbins with an 84 yard TD run and a 44 yard TD run. The kid is just special, simple as that. I just booked my stay at the Highway 56 motel in anticipation for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Bowl at Tucker Stadium.
  6. Jackson County by 28. Sale Creek will have a long drive back to Graysville.
  7. It was announced during the middle school game last night that the Sale Creek @ Jackson County game will now be played Thursday due to the the torrential rainfall that will come through the hills of Gainesboro on Friday night.
  8. I'm just here bringing the voices of Gainesboro to light.
  9. Sean didn't want to lay his whole playbook out for the world to see during a rainy night on the mountaintop. If he saw it was necessary, he could've pulled some tricks out of his sleeves, but he knew he could get the job done while still withholding a few formations.
  10. If my aunt was a man, she'd be my uncle. We can go all day with hypotheticals. York should consider themselves lucky that Sean didn't feel like running up the score. I don't think a Pickett County fan has any business speaking about football. Pickett County has fielded the most abysmal football teams that the Great State of Tennessee has ever witnessed. As for basketball, they will always play second fiddle compared to Jackson County. Heck, as much as I hate to say it, third fiddle behind Lamar.
  11. Oh, the Devils went down to Jamestown, looking for a game to steal. Steal one, they did, indeed. I had a hunch that Sean would have a game plan and he proved me right. Not even Mother Nature could stop these relentless warriors. Defense travels, ole son. Andrew Jackson would've been proud of his namesake county for traveling the mountain up to Jimtown and pitching a shutout. I couldn't have scripted it better myself. I feel for Sale Creek, because they're next on the hit list. Jackson County ain't going anywhere.
  12. Your school would kill to have a coach that is 1/4 of what Coach Brown is.
  13. If Fentress County hills produce a "different breed" of athletes, where are all the Gold Balls to show for it? The state's money doesn't buy championships. Betting against this Devils squad is pure nonsense. Please heed my advice.
  14. Burris is better with his reads than he ever was last season. Pinpoint accuracy is a big part of his game, so York will be lucky to see the ball before he places it in the bread basket of his receivers. Interceptions will not be what beats Jackson County. Jackson County is the only thing that's going to stop Jackson County.
  15. Jackson draws a good crowd at home games. The Devils are used to a ruckus crowd. York made the right decision in not allowing fans at the game because a few hundred from Gainesboro would have quickly eliminated any home field advantage that they thought they had.
