Coach Hilton from Sullivan South was named football coach. The last I heard is all winter and spring sports would be announced middle of February.

I agree I hope that it does get played out on the field, but unfortunately I don't think this happens. What concerns me is the TSSAA can't even make a decision on this early Saturday morning or at the very latest Saturday evening and try to play Monday night. As of right now the options are so slim for either team to compete against each other and they will have to make a rash decision that should favor DB or at the worst case give Maryville another bye in the 3rd round. I would just like to know the real truth and why this game couldn't be played just like all the others that had covid issues.

Your right and I plainly stated that they were rumors that I had heard and didn't know of they were true or not! If you are so adamant that they are" WRONG! "Which is how your responded with a one word response.What are YOUR thoughts because obviously you think you know more than I do and you know the whole story since you are 100% sure I'm wrong.

I hate it for both teams and wish the game was just played on the field but it appears that is not going to happen at this point.

From what I heard the reason they had documents was from the rapid test that was completed before the lab results came back on the other, which were the phone call. Appears they were trying to have the son play and use the rapid test results when the lab results came back positive. Just my opinion from rumors I have heard on the situation.

Well its possible they could have made that decision if they were notified before 6:05PM about it. But according to McMinn coach Cagle they found out at the same time.

Here is what I want to understand. Did mcminn County consult with their health department and ask their opinion if the positive tested player posed a threat to anyone on their team or DB's team. That doesn't sound like a decision that a coach could make without someone with higher authority to make. I guess it just seems like their should be protocol to follow in this situation. I think DB was in a similar situation with Daniel Boone this year and the health department did proper contact tracing and quarantine and were cleared to play. I just hate it for the seniors if this is how it ends for either team. If TSSAA made this decision then how do you fix this when its all said and done.

DB is doing 50% capacity last I heard. That equally almost 5,000 tickets though because of stadium size. Before tickets went on sale this morning there was only 600 tickets left and unfortunately due to covid they do not sell at the gate and only at the athletic office and what is provided to visiting schools.

It goes to best overall record. Basically if SH wins against Bearden and DB wins against Alcoa. It is 1.DB 2.SH 3.Farragut SH wins and DB falls to Alcoa 1. SH 2.DB 3.Farrgut SH loses to bearden 1. DB 2. FARRAGUT 3.Bearden 4. SH I think I have that right. There is other scenarios that could play out if Jeff Co was to beat Farragut but basically it goes to overall record and then goes to head to head.

They were installed before the first game this year. I agree it should have happened a long time ago but rumor has it Clark didn't want them and thought it gave an advantage to his team.

Debusk the AD took over the year after Christian was selected as coach. Honestly I'm not sure he is in that good ole boy category and might be there because of how the selection was made from the previous athletic director which I may add is and was a JC guy whose kids went to Johnson City school's as well. On a side note SH had DB's number tonight and won the game. DB gave up on the run game and caused a huge swing of momentum after the interception in the end zone and never recovered after that.
