Great question, how can both of those schools consistently compete for state championships in every sport but football? Lack of athletes is not the answer.

Wrong, you get the right coaching staffs at either SH or DB and they could win it. There is just as many or maybe more athletes at those schools as Maryville has.

Boone's offense has been set up by its D all season long with short fields and good field position. I don't think West will give them that. Both D's are comparable but the offenses are not. Boone's line is young and undersized so West will have a major advantage at the line of scrimmage. Boone's D will keep it close for a little while but eventually West will pull away and win comfortably. Boone's only chance is to use ball control, limit possessions, and eat clock. Easier said than done. West by 3-4 scores.

While this is the best team Boone has had in a while the one thing they don't have is alot of depth. As long as they stay healthy they have a chance. The SH game is a question mark, that is one school I have never figured out. How can a school with that many athletes not be better than they are? I have no idea about CAK, I do know they handled us pretty good last year.

Not reaching at all. Boone has the best defense and special teams in the area and it is not debatable. You mention the Elizabethton game and if you was there, you would have seen as soon as we took that lead the coaches took the air out of the ball. Jenkins knew Elizabethton was never going to score. As far as Greeneville goes, Boone scrimmaged them and handled them pretty easy. I know its a scrimmage and doesn't mean anything but facts are facts. Greeneville has some really good young talent in the trenches but their skill players are down from previous years. If DB does not win this Friday by 2 or more touchdowns I will be really surprised.
