  1. DB was surprising slow and lethargic, compared to last year’s team. However, they should’ve beaten us by 50 this year. It’s going to be a long season for THS. THS will struggle mightily this year. They have a couple of good athletes on offense, one that will hardly get any touches. They’re heck bent on trying to beef up numbers for a starting QB who is the 3rd best QB on the team, and that is being kind. THS lost several playmakers from last years team and won’t utilize what they have on this year’s team. We have an excellent athlete at linebacker that can play both sides of the ball. However, only expect to see him on defense. He won’t be given the ball in any capacity to make plays.
  2. He’s a beast. You guys outplayed and out coached us. You came into our house and made it your own. Well deserved win
  3. Our passes are 4 yard out and hope our receivers turn it into big yards. If they’re contained, we’ll be hurting
  4. That poor horse has been beaten, kicked and spit on all over Bristol!
  5. Good point. We do have two outstanding linebackers who cover the field very well. However, you hit the nail on the head. If they apply pressure on our QB, THS will not be able to put points on the board or keep our own defense off of the field. Who knows how this game will end up going.
  6. Seems like an Al Bundy type, still living his high school football dreams lol. Greeneville came in looking better than most thought they would. As mentioned above, doesn’t take a football scholar like the hero running his mouth to figure out that THS was in position to win the game. Coaching or perhaps people above the coach made the conscious decision to keep a much less talented QB in the game and the outcome was as expected.
  7. We’re used to the inept coaching. We’ve let a lot of games slip away over the last few years from poor coaching and play calling. We were not prepared for the short clock and our QB was like a deer in headlights. We put the Snyder kid in throughout the game on offense and he drove the ball down the field, especially in the wildcat. But on the last drive, he’s standing on the sidelines. This, along with how they choose who plays, is what drives THS fans crazy. With that being said, Greeneville was more aggressive throughout the game. My hats off to them. Especially the kid that stepped in at QB. He played very well. I wish you guys the best of luck and I hope the injured kid is able to get back soon. I’m not sure of the extent of his injury, but I hope he can get back on the field soon. Go whip Elizabethton!! I’ll be pulling for you.
  8. All things said above are true. While as a parent of a kid who'll be in the program soon, I'm thankful and appreciative of the fieldhouse and other ways he's helped. I just have an issue with them shutting down any competition for the position as the kid just isn't capable. Doesn't matter though, the coaches have pampered him since he arrived at THS and his dad has taken care of the coaches. It's one of those things that THS can complain about, but administration will not intervene so it's just accepted. It limits us greatly to what we can do. If Greeneville can get any pressure on him, you'll see what we're talking about.
  9. It's a touchy situation here in the community. I won't go into much detail, needless to say we have 3 outstanding athletes who have successfully played QB before but were not given the chance this year. The performance of our offense to this point speaks for itself. As a disclaimer, I don't have a kid who was wanting to play QB lol. It's just hard to watch these kids knowing that we have a known issue but its being ignored. Regardless, I hope our D shows up tonight to play. Whether or not Greeneville is young, I expect a dogfight from them.
  10. No argument here. We're blessed with some quality athletes, unfortunately none with the money to buy their way into a starting QB position. We have 3 highly capable kids that should be a starter above our current one, but our coaches will not let anyone other than #7 run the offense. He's slow, scared and just not very talented. We're lucky to have a pretty good defense. Not great, but pretty good. However, if you can't score on offense, you're in trouble. I'd be very surprised to see Greeneville put many points on the board, but as long as they can hit 14-17, our offense won't match it.
