  1. Um...yeah. Covington vs. Macon County, anyone?
  2. WHOOPS.....Yeah, Covington plays Macon County
  3. Arg. You heard... More just hiding behind quoting someone else...tell us, Hawk, what do you think? Or do you just get to pretend everyone else knows more than you about all things Bolivar? Barlett boys cancelled on Bolivar. South Side boys cancelled on Bolivar, North Side, Sacred Heart did too. Why? Ask them. Or... just make something up, that seems to be more your style anyway.
  4. Uh, I really need a translation for that... But who told you? It's a direct question. And your lack of answer tells everyone that you made it up.
  5. I sometimes, not always, enjoy the opinions on this page. I rarely respond. But I always try to respond to outright lies. Bolivar wanted to make up (or just play boys) against South Side, North Side, and Sacred Heart. They wouldn't play us if it were only boys. South Side, North Side and Sacred Heart refused to come on the scheduled dates. Bartlett told Bolivar their boys had too many games scheduled. So they didn't come. But I'm curious...who told you (from Bolivar) that Bolivar was afraid? Without an answer, and I know you won't have one, it's apparent you just made it up. Let's have a name. Let's hear about this source.
  6. I ll be there. Can probably do something at halftime.
  7. I've got issues with a few things posted here. Here is Woodrow Lowe's record at Bolivar Central 2014-2018 Overall: 25-28 vs. teams with winning records: 6-19 vs. teams with losing records: 19-5 vs. .500 teams: 0-4 Playoff record: 0-3 Record in games decided by 10 points or less: 4-11 The "offense" was a ton of talent at running back (Keon Crisp 1231 yards in 2014, Drek Lewis 1370 yards in 2015, Lewis 1554 yards in 2016, Corey Brown 1503 yards in 2017, Jalen Crisp 963 yards in 2018) AND a talented but micromanaged offensive coordinator. We averaged 31.5 points per game but had a less than .500 record over five years. The "defense" was Coach Lowe's responsibility. We gave up 27.9 points per game. Coach Lowe made the schedule before he left Bolivar Central for Lausanne. Bolivar went 1-8 against nine teams that had over .500 records. New Coach Craft's record against losing teams last year? 1-0. In five years of Coach Lowe, 87% of the passes thrown by Bolivar Central quarterbacks were thrown by those named Lowe (4 years of Trey, 1 year of Kyle), both talented players but no snaps were given to develop anyone else, most glaringly 2018, when no one besides the freshman Lowe and a senior were given even a single snap at quarterback. We began 2019 with no one who had ever played quarterback in a varsity game and our quarterback had gotten very few snaps in JV or freshman games as Lowe played most of the snaps in those as well. Three coaches left Bolivar Central and went to Fayette Ware to join coach Lowe this past July, leaving Bolivar with only a few coaches and no time to get any replacements. And the three that went were not the only three that were asked to go. Coach Craft is a good man and a good football coach and his assistants are good as well. The problem is they have no help. No one up in the booth to help during games. The program needs time to recover after being blindsided by the same coach two years in a row, one year with a schedule, and one year by recruiting our coaches to leave at the last minute. They, of course, went on their own, but it left us in a very bad position for this year as well. So stop saying we need coaching. It is ignorant of the situation. We need all kinds of things. But our coach is doing pretty well under the circumstances. Anyone want to trade?
