Gordonsville has not been able to run the ball well or stop the run since Moose left. Then again, this is probably the best passing offense maybe ever for Gordonsville. On the games I watch on TV the good passing teams beat the good running teams Gordonsville 28-21

Gentry was that dominant last year, he just didn’t play against carthage or Watertown last year. Gordonsville is about who I thought they were. If the sophomore QB gets some time to throw 14 and 15 will make plays. We will struggle against physical teams that run the ball. This is a very similar team to last year

That basketball gym will be awfully cozy on Monday There are some Gordonsville teams in the past that would show up to Celina in a bad mood ready to run the football and play defense. I have no clue what to expect tonight. This team has been up and down this year. Like I've said across multiple threads all year, I still believe Gordonsville's A game is better than South Pitt and Celina's A game. I reckin we will see what's gonna happen in a few hours.

The team from ‘84 had more physicality and pride than ‘12 but that’s more so the difference in eras. The teams were actually pretty similar personnel wise, a very strong running game with good line play. This ‘22 team would get beat badly by those teams in the trenches but once again I think you’re talking about a difference in eras. This team has a large cast of skill players from senior to freshman.

Just because it’s hard to beat a team twice doesn’t mean Gordonsville will win. Just because Celina won the first one doesn’t mean Celina will win. Whoever brings their A game Friday night will win. If both bring their A game, I like Gordonsville’s a little bit better. I am happy for the Gordonsville seniors that get a chance at redemption. The loss at Celina then a loss at South Pitt would have been a tough way to go. As far as the first game goes, turnovers/ double passes/ fake punts are a part of the game. All that matters is wins and losses, Celina won the first one but the one that matters is Friday. Hopefully they can find some bleachers for the visitors side of the field
