As a SS alum, I'd take it. Heck there was one point in the '23-24 year that I was concerned we'd even make the region title game. But alas, we've gotten better as we've went along. The only team I'm really worried about is Dyersburg. We've heard all year long about how good they are. Now we'll find out in the first round. If SS gets past the first round, I like our chances to wind up in the title game. #HawkNation #HereComesTheCloser

Thanks so much. The SS program, men's and women's, has hung their hat on smothering defense for at least 5 years. It gets an opponent out of their gameplan, frustrates them and they wind up playing from behind. Congrats on a good year as well. The Macon County folks showed up to support their team in the middle of a Saturday afternoon after over a 3 hr drive one way. Kudos to a good program!

Example of refs dong too "good" of a job: 2023 AAA girls tournament semi final between South Side and Elizabethton. Double overtime game = 48 minutes played.
