By my understanding, they had a year and at the conclusion of that year 90%-100% of their staff (which they were allowed to personally hire) has decided to leave them. Does that sound normal? Personally, I have never heard of that happening at a program.

Have heard similar rumors. Sounds like Crouch and Caudill have a lot in common. Maybe admin should consider before they hire coaches with little experience to run large programs.

I do agree that it is going to take more than one year to make SC a competitive program in RuCo. However, I also believe that in order to fix a struggling high school program you must hire and RETAIN great assistant coaches. I would argue that this is even more important at the 6A level where you are dealing with 80-100 athletes that are typically platooned. Lastly, on a more simplistic level, I have never heard of a successful high school program that loses 9-10 assistants a year.

You would have to think the admin has noticed the departure of so many assistants. Not a good look for the football program, school, or Stewarts Creek community. At what point do you decide to go in another direction?

Can confirm that only 2 coaches were kept from the previous staff. All of the other coaches were hired by him prior to last season. Says a lot when guys that you hired are leaving after one season. Based on the rumors I have heard, he has lost almost the entire staff.

Go back to your hole in West TN and keep running from Alcoa. No one cares about your thoughts on this board.

Schools with recruiting coordinators: Brentwood Oakland Riverdale Mt. Juliet Summit These are just off the top of my head, but any school without someone in a position such as this is doing a disservice to their players.

The fact that you have no idea of the responsibilities of a recruiting coordinator speaks to your knowledge of the current landscape of high school football. It is a position that serves as a link between college coaches and potential recruits on your team. As far as Tygard, I do think that he is a shameless self promoter. However, I respect his willingness to do things his way and not worry about the thoughts of others. Sometimes you have to do something different to get different results.

Was not insinuating anything about Caudill. Just wondering if the rumors are true. Can you confirm or deny them?

The rumor mill says that he left the program mid year because things were so bad at SC.
