Ok I thought so and it would be at Munford. So that puts a little extra incentive on winning this game. Nobody wants to go to Munford in the 2nd round with the way they've been playing this year.

Am I right that the only way Springfield and Henry County play in November is if one of us beats Munford? Right now Munford looks the part.

South Gibson is not sub par in my opinion. They are a good solid team. Their previous only loss was to Milan by 3. We beat them last night by 22.

I'll be completely real with you. If Springfield plays Beech/Brentwood y'all would take two L's too my friend.

We've had a chance to win both games with less than a minute to go in both games. Y'all have yet to be in a "tough" game. Weak schedule....

Nobody said I was talking directly to you... Time to cut through all the crap and make this a real thread. Springfield is the team with EVERYTHING to lose in this game. They are undefeated at 6-0, it's a home game for the Yellow Jackets, they are the defending region champs, I mean everything is on the line for the Jackets. Henry County will come to Springfield with two losses on the season, we've proven we can still make it to the semifinals without winning the region. Me personally, I'm not worried in the slightest about this game. We know it will be tough, but we've played tough games this season to prepare us for this moment. It's GO TIME PATRIOTS!!!!! GO BIG RED!!!!

Didn't say they was afraid. Just wondered why they don't play some of the better teams. Just looking at their schedule so far, I just didn't understand why there was a 1A and 2A team on y'all's schedule. I'm assuming now that it's hard to get people to play y'all. Especially this year, I think y'all possibly could beat some of those bigger schools. Just a fan of high school football that would enjoy seeing an athletic Haywood against a hard nosed tough Beech team. Could be some interesting matchups is all I was getting at. And I would love to get Haywood back on the schedule. I think there is a mutual respect with both programs, but both programs are both very competitive and don't like to lose!! Sorry for getting this thread off topic lol

I have a legit question. How come Haywood doesn't play the big boys out of Middle TN? Henry County consistently does. Not only do I think it would make Haywood better for the playoffs, but I think they could give some of those teams very good competitive games. I'd love to see Haywood against a Brentwood/Beech or any of the good solid programs in Middle TN.

I wanted to hop on real quick and say not many teams would get more confident after a loss but I think that's exactly what this Henry County team should be is more confident after the road loss to Brentwood. It's no secret special teams was the difference maker in that game, other than that we did everything we needed to do to win the game. We are playing stiff competition and coming up just ever so short. Clean up the mistakes and by seasons end this will be a team that will make a run. When the dust settles we'll see who's left standing......

I like it. We have our eyes on Munford. So far they look the part! Henry County has a big matchup next week with Brentwood.

I would have liked to see a few more shots from HC through the air in the first half. I'm not sure if it would have made a difference but it couldn't have hurt. Let that senior QB and senior WR's loose...
