  1. I have to agree with a portion of that. Congrats to McKenzie but Peabody spotted you 10 points and those were mistakes. You know the best team does not always win. McKenzie beat us and that is that but I THINK Peabody wins that game 7 out of 10 minus those mistakes. Our OLine dominated you guys but you guys came through at the right time with the help of some uncharacteristic mistakes, Congrats on a great season though. The gold is the standard in Trenton. Maybe one day it will be for McKenzie. You surely have the talent
  2. Last year yes. But you are right. Not this year. Peabody and Meigs were heads over heels better than S. Pitt and Fayetteville. That Simpson kid will amaze you . Just wait and see
  3. Peabody has played 5 and won 4. Just saying. But S. Pitt has the better history. No doubt. I was reaaly looking forward to P vs P. That will eventually happen. Hats off to Mckenzie for a great season and S. Pitt for a great win
  4. And Peabody won the line of scrimmage in the semis but lost. It comes down to decisions and mistakes. It's not a crime. Its just human error. It does not matter who dominates the game. What matters is who wins the games. Look at Tennessee vs Kentucky.
  5. No. I do not agree. I have seen the last 3 state games and Peabody always kicked the Field goal if given the opportunity. Comer kicked the FG against Peabody, why not S. Pitt. Points are hard to come by in the Ship. Every point matters. Ala 24-21
  6. You are so right. We imploded late in the season and it turns out we did not deserve to win. Congrats to Mc and Pitt
  7. Its har to win 3 games of that magnitude. Kick the FG and go to overtime. Anybody's game
  8. I totally agree. To win in this game you got to have the right game plan and a little luck. I am a Peabody fan, so I know
  9. I do respect Comer and he is a great coach but coaches are human and they make mistakes too. I did not say he cost them the game. I just said he was out coached. Even Bellacheck gets outcoached sometimes. Get your panties out of a wod dude
  10. This was not the McKenzie team that played Fayette and Peabody. I believe the game was too big for Coach Comer and the players. Look how easy they scored in that last drive. Pitt was better prepared and looked more ready than the Rebels. Thats just my opinioon. S. Pitt won and that is what really matters.
  11. To many mistakes from Peabody is what got you there. The better team lost that game. And the better team lost in the state game. McKenzie got out coached
  12. We have several back. I honestly thought Peabody was the best team that made the most mistakes. MC was hungry but we gifted them 10 points. This is not the character of Peabody but it was just MC time. We will be okau next year.
  13. I was once told I am a homer. I was told that I did not give objective opinions. I got a call the other night by a fellow who said he was proud of me putting down the Tide coaches and telling the truth about the game. I said what in the heck are you talking about? He said, and quote, "The coaches made a mistake and they would not admit it. But if he was listening closer, he would have heard my reply to that. I won't deny saying that and I am sure it was a mistake on my part but I do remember saying immediately after that statement that our staff would never blame anyone but themselves even though they did not warrant it. Do coaches make mistakes, absolutely, but so do fans. How is it possible for anyone in Tide country to criticize this current staff. They are the hardest workers I've ever been around. So, am I a homer? Yes. And I am proud to be a Peabody guy. I am and I always will be. As long Coach Jacobs and his staff are around, this will be a successful program, even at 5-5. 4 Gold balls in 7 years. We are so proud of this football programs and we salute our seniors for a job well done. We have been blessed by the football gods and now its time to share the wealth. Roll Tide!
  14. Kudos to our offensive line. They were amazing. And they did will back next year. Glad to have Driggers back also. I think with another year under his belt, he will have a special year in 22. Roll Tide.
  15. Congrats to Mckenzie. Go win the Gold and represent the West. I have not said anything much about this game so here we go. Peabody was short- handed. You cannot win a game against McKenzie unless you have your best. Football is about match-ups. How is it that one of the best wideouts in the state quits one week before quarter finals. But with that said, we had our chances. We still had our best wideout on the field. But when you got 3 very good recievers on the same squad, it creates matchup problems. But with that said, Taylor gave us matchup problems all night. And Cassidy was just amazing. Let me address the elephant in the room. The fumble by Ganaway was game changing. That player who quit, well, that's his spot. Can't blame Ganaway, because he one of the reasons the Tide has been so successful. After all that transpired this week, fate was in play. It took all of this for the football Gods to line up for McKenzie. Don't get me wrong, the Rebels are very good. But I will be the first to tell you, Peabody won a game of fate against Fairly. We were very fortunate to win that game. The fake punt did not help matters but coaches see things on film that we fans do not see. It's up to the players to execute. Sometimes players make coaches look bad. But Peabody's coaching staff would never blame anyone but themselves even when it is not their fault. That is the sign of a great staff. We have had our run. McKenzie it just may be your turn. Too many mistakes, but we can credit some of that to the Rebels. Great game. Great atmosphere. The Tide will be good next year. Got to replace some great skill people. Good luck Rebels. Bring home the gold
  16. This was good. LC did not lay down for us. They battled the whole game. It was good preparation for the Tide. I actually think that LCs running back is better than Taylor. He is strong, elusive and fast. No disrespect to Taylor but I think LCs and Peabody's star backs are better. Just saying
