  1. Guess I’m bored. lol. Here is who they lost to that went and played for it 11. Lost to Covington who played for it 14. Lost to trezvent who played for it 16. Lost to Liberty who played for it 18. Lost to Haywood who played for it 20. Lost to Haywood who played for it so 5 out of the last 9 years they have put out by one of the teams that played for the state championship. Enough work for tonight lol. Congrats to all the young men in the state that put it on the line tonight whether they won or lost. They all won!!
  2. When I say in the first post that the team they lost to went and played for it. The “it” is the state championship game
  3. And what I said was look at who they lost to. Over half of those losses came from the team who went and played for the state championship. Means you lost to one of the 2 best teams in the state. No shame in that.
  4. There are a lot of posts about Dyersburg getting put out early in the playoffs. Go back and check the games if you want the truth. They have been put out by the team that went and played for it at least 5 or 6 times in the last 7 or 8 years. They scheduled 2, 5A teams in the first 4 weeks and three time state champs Trenton in game 5 who chickened out and backed out of the game. Granted they haven’t been to the game but how many west TN teams have? Maybe this is the year will be their year. Thank goodness all the Yappers here that know it all have nothing to do with the actual games. How bout cheer for your kids and all the kids out there selling out to play the greatest game on earth! Football Makes Men!!
  5. Do some research. TSSAA says the only game that matters is the covid out. The extra one means nothing either way. The problem here that the world has forgotten that your word is your bond. I’m sure you don’t care but some of us do. You schedule who will play you and Trenton wanted Dyersburg and most everybody else did not kudos to them for wanting the game initially. Do a little homework before you speak. Like Dyersburg scrimmaged Milan the week before the season. Ask around about how that turned out. And for that matter if Milan didn’t have a crap show on kickoffs for 3 scores Trenton would already have that loss.
  6. The 1st or second round out for Dyersburg if I remember correctly 8 of the last 10 years has went and played for the ball. No shame there just a shame to take the game away from the players to satisfy adult egos. Like I said earlier both teams will probably have another covid out on the same date. I promise you one team will be ready and willing to play
  7. Go do your homework. Dyersburg has a little over 50 on the roster and probably lost a great D player to injury Friday. Bet the numbers are close. Here’s what will tell the tale. Both teams will probably have another covid game down the line on the same week. We will see if they give the kids their game back. Don’t hold your breath
  8. Why in the world has the conversation strayed. Trenton cancels Dyersburg after they already have the win over LC weeks in advance. On Tuesday the opportunity to play became available for both teams, who were preparing for other opponents, to play. One team will not play One team will. Bam! Those are the facts Jack’s! All the rest is useless noise. Spin it however you like politicians
  9. What a foolish comment. This isn’t travel baseball when you show up and play year round whenever you want. There are a set number of games these kids, these seniors will ever get to play and to take one away for selfish reasons is bush league at best. I’m sure the Trenton kids wanted to play but it’s usually not the kids that ruin things, it’s the adults. The ones that make and break deals to fit their own narrative. Great lesson To teach our young men. Pat yourselves on the back. An excuse is just an excuse!
  10. If you didn’t want to play the adults in the room should not have scheduled the game. Now the kids have one taken away. Great lesson, shake a hand, make a deal, then don’t honor it
  11. Asked and refused to play. If you didn’t want to play you shouldn’t have scheduled. All you have done is take away a game from the Trenton and Dyersburg kids and who knows if the season might be over tomorrow due to covid. What a shame
