Nobody should want to work for the clown show that is Franklin High School and Williamson County’s administration. Somebody told me that they don’t even have field houses over there. All that money they got and not even a field house for the football team?

Totally agree!!! Something fishy is going on in Williamson County and it starts at the top with the County AD or the superintendent, or maybe both.

I feel like the more to the story is some shady stuff happening with the principal and county AD.

They definitely won’t get much attention now. Might find an old dude trying to double dip retirement wise from another state. Nobody from around TN with any sort of experience will apply.

By all accounts there were improvements shown on the field every year. Upon more research, lost 2 starters to Hendersonville prior to the season due to the family moving into their dream home on the lake. 2 starters is enough to tip some of those one score games.

Not one bit. Alex Melton by every single account is an upstanding coach who does everything by the book including not recruiting. It’s not his fault that Lipscomb Academy, BA, Ensworth, etc. don’t follow the rules and recruit his players.

4 Division 1 recruits zoned for franklin that are currently elsewhere.

Agreed, you don’t fire a high school coach mid season without some sort of unethical reason which by every single account is not the case.

Got a fraternity brother who coaches over there in Williamson County. After reading about this situation I called him and asked him what was up. He said the county AD is the most hated guy in the county by all the coaches. Apparently he does nothing for the coaches but make their lives harder and takes credit for their accomplishments. Said he’s been coaching in the county for 3 years now and never seen him at a school unless it was a PR opportunity. In regards to the Franklin situation he said they have the worst talent in the league and were hands down the most well coached team but they were so overmatched talent wise it didn’t matter. Said that typically when a county job opens there will be tons of coordinators from within the county apply but none are going to apply for this one due to the vast talent gap and the joke of administration at Franklin firing this guy mid year. Seems like the grass ain’t always greener in Williamson County like everyone makes it out to be.

The Franklin principal is an absolute joke for this. Don’t know anything about the situation but this ain’t the SEC. Firing a high school coach mid season is a disgrace. Seems like the county Athletic Director who released the statement in the newspaper is pathetic too.

Gallatin wins this one. Coaching will be the difference. Not impressed with the Juliet staff. Go Dragons!!
