Central trying to hire a coach has become a fiasco. From the very beginning there has been no leadership on the interview process and it’s no wonder why so many coaches have turned them down. It is truly embarrassing

HVA may have a tough time doing interviews for the open head football job with the AD on Admin leave. Whole school and athletic program is suffering right now

Central football coach decision makers think they are hiring a coach for Maryville or Oakland. They need a young energetic coach who will inspire kids to stay in zone at Central. Too many of the guys they want just trying to squeeze some extra $$$ Make a decision

Bearden is the outlaw program of the state. The head coach does not work for Knox County schools. He is a professional recruiter of 7th and 8th grade talent through his Tennessee Future Stars program. One Coach is a teaching assistant in the school and is paid $25,000 by the booster club to supplement his TA salary. One coach teaches there and the rest are non faculty They pay kids to transfer to Bearden and provide the fake addresses to players. So in answer to your question about being confused. Is it right to cheat and steal just because everyone else does. There is right and wrong. The reason the TSSAA hasn’t been able to verify anything yet is the Bearden Admin covers for them. The AD Morgan Shinlever covers up all the sins of the football program. The principal hired a guy and has Shinlever vouching for Jones. So Elias287, I hope to clear up your confusion

This is a lot of talk for a school that is historically a 5-5 or 6-4 program. Josh Jones can recruit all he wants but mentally Bearden is a 5-5 team.

Halls is much better than their record shows. Halls will get the win on this one. Central offense is bad. They don’t have a QB and Halls will load up on the run. This is a big rivalry game and Halls will be ready

I saw Halls play Sevier Co last week. Sevier Co has little to no offense. Heritage seems to be scoring some points. The new coach over there may have them headed in the right direction. I take Heritage in this one

I agree. I don’t think that Sevier Co is a special team. Wins over some lesser competition like William Blount and Pigeon Forge don’t count for much. Halls has better athletes and has been in every game except West. I pick Halls by 3 TDs. The freshmen QB is the difference

How is Halls looking going into Friday night. Which QB will start for the Red Devils. The freshman looks like clear favorite but is he healthy after getting banged up by Powell?

This game isn’t for 2nd in the Region that will be the winner of the Halls Central game. Sevier Co will be fighting for 4th place. They won’t have a chance against Central

Reading Bearden Bullies posts that a slap on the wrist is ok if you can still cheat and get better players is the most Bearden thing of all time. Bearden tries to balance cheating with how much trouble they get in. Wrong is wrong. Don’t brag about the amount of illegal transfers and be glad it was just a slap on the wrist for hosting illegal recruits. Knox County and the Bearden Administration team are the ones who have dropped the ball here.

Now that all the jobs are filled and spring practice is done, what does the fall look like? Is Farragut still the best in the west? Fulton on the way back or does Central own North Knoxville Is Powell going to be a powerhouse again? Can anyone stay in a game with them? Is the pass happy Carter team the team to beat in the East? Private schools might be too soon to call, too many recruits in the transfer portal.

If you are the 5A 6A message board then the only Halls would be in Knoxville. Not the tiny Halls. No need for Knox Halls to remove “confusion “. Halls has it and everyone knows it

Halls needs to take care of Halls. No need to scrimmage just to do it. It’s spring practice. I highly doubt there are 105 players at Bearden practicing football. That is not true. But they should have more depth than Halls, Bearden is one of the largest schools in the state

I’m asking about “real” changes or just how it’s going. So many schools have new coaches. Any new news on offensive or defensive changes for teams

Having a student from outside your zone on a tour of the school is Recruiting , no two ways about it. Many a school has been hit with sanctions for this.

Saw on twitter that Central hired a coach from Hoover Alabama to be run game coordinator and Tyler Drummer to be pass game coordinator. Wonder how that will work, who will call the plays on Friday

Both public and private offer these free “camps”. They are nothing more than in person evaluation camps for recruiting purposes. I’ve seen ads for schools like South Doyle, Bearden and Knoxville Catholic in Knoxville
