I don’t recall saying that you called any names. I do recall saying IF you were talking about my child. Apparently you know who my child is since you’re sure it wasn’t him you were speaking of. I can assure you my child didn’t get ejected. I also believe that I stated the I do not agree with the punches thrown but instead of handing out ridicule, we should let the coaches handle it. I’ve been reading these threads for years and rarely have I ever made a post. I usually let you men talk and carry on like you all say us women, skillet slingers or whatever do. Most of the time I remain quiet and let things work themselves out. I have a senior on this team who plays a big role in the success or failure of this team. He puts his all into this team with every down played. He was frustrated on Friday night. He threw his helmet Friday night. If you are talking about him and you think he did it because he got sent off the field, you’re mistaken. He was frustrated with some of his teammates for getting penalized. As he stated, they were up 28-7 at the time and just needed to let the scoreboard do the talking. Another thing he was dancing (celebrating ) on the sidelines when there was 2 minutes left to play. Should kids not be able to celebrate an accomplishment without being ridiculed by the the has beens? Now that’s been said, I don’t agree with the punches being thrown. They paid for that in practice yesterday. Let’s all let the coaches take care of the discipline. I think they will get their points across just fine.

@BBRaider dude, calm down. These are kids and I am sure everyone of them are deserving of the recognition they are getting. I’m sorry your kid didn’t get the nod, but life’s lessons. I’m sure he’s taking it way better than you, and if he’s not, that may be one of the reasons he’s not on the list. Character goes a long way.

No. Not necessarily. Maybe worded that wrong. Just saying with new staff coming in I hope they utilize the best players available where needed, replacing this years seniors or moving positions if needed.

Injuries? I’m not sure he had any injuries until he tweaked his knee in the Gordonsville game, which seemed to bother him throughout the rest of playoffs. I may be mistaken but I think he may have missed a regular season game due to dental surgery. I do agree we got some good ones coming up but they definitely need a coach to get them bigger. I’ve been on these threads for years. Mostly for entertainment, but dang it I miss football. There are plenty of skill kids coming back and a few that may be overlooked and rarely mentioned. I think with the right coach and getting these kids in the right positions, the Pirates will be just fine. I can’t wait to see how they use Wellington. He is an athlete and could be beneficial in several positions. I also can’t wait to watch Cash, Hargis, Pellam and a couple other underclassmen moving up.
